Well, you should make sure you have the minimum 100 reports (see the first page for more information) AT LEAST. Having more is always a good thing. You don't have to go out of your way, unless you're behind with reporting and need more. Make sure each report is valid though.

But I don't think hunting down bad threads to report just because you're low on reports is a good thing though. That makes you look like fake . . . umm . . . I can't find the word. . .

If you are not finding any in your forum, it is a good idea to venture out a little.
Not only does it get your reports up, it also shows you know how other forums work.

It can also show that you're willing to spend time looking for and doing something about violations. It also helps you understand that you can help the site without being a moderator.

If your trying to get you three hunderd reports and you happen to send a report that you is legitimate, but a moderator classifies that the report is incorrect. Can you be punished?

Depends on the severity. I highly doubt it will hinder your chances in any major way. I know I've goofed up and accidentally selected another subject on the report form instead of the right one. If they tell you it was reported wrong, you can always tell them you made a mistake and accidentally clicked the wrong subject.

If you get the one hunderd reports in six months... but you're two years away from being eighteen... will you have to redo that or will they count the time you did that

It is the 6 months before you apply. So no, not now. You will have to do it again at that time.
