Welcome to Gaia! ::

iiPinoy_16_LIL_DON_GODii
awsome but is there a promotion every level or we can choose wat appliction we wanna be?

This application is for the site moderator position only. If you make it into the program you will get the chance to learn about the other moderator positions (such as global and omni). These are not so much promotions but rather using a different set of skills to moderate different aspects of the site.
Ah.
I thought that was what they ment, but i wasn't to sure.
Thankyou for clearing it up Milkbun =)
100 Reports?

I better keep my eyes open. To make gaia a better tomorrow~

You know, I have an urge to be a moderator for the Harry Potter subforum. I'm seeing spam after spam in that place, and most of the time, the existing moderators aren't even online to delete the threads. D< There have been times where I reported the spam in the forum, only to see the same spam threads a week later (only pushed back a couple of pages). However, I've gotten some warnings pertaining to my threads being in the wrong forum or my signature size being too big. I don't think I have any major offenses, but I'm not sure if the warnings I've gotten in the past would affect my ability to become a mod.

Well we always need more mods! Also some mods will put their status as hidden but they are there.
You are welcome to PM a mod and discuss anything on your record.

At the moment there is no way to re-apply if you have been rejected. The FAQ will be updated if this changes.

Alright, thank you. ^^
Not sure if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I know applicants can't have been reported too many times, for any serious offenses etc. I've had a couple threads moved, which was my fault. But I've also had threads I reported myself, from the test forum to go elsewhere when finished. Will those count against me, if I apply when I'm old enough?

That sounds like something the would put under your quality of reporting rather than offenses against you. I don't think that will harm you if it isn't happening all the time... especially near the time you apply. The staff are familiar with the fact that everything is still a learning experience. I highly doubt that your reports for thread moves will be that severe unless it's happening too often.
It's not so much that, but I understand where you are coming from. I think what I'm trying to say is...will the database see reports against me, and automatically throw me out, even if some of the reports were my own threads made in the test forum, and asked to be moved when the thread was finished being set up?

I've made quite a few misplaced topics, a few topics deleted (not my fault though, the people within the thread's fault), a few moved because people couldn't stay on topic and I have got a warning....so I think you can still get in. I don't think you will have anything to worry about, as long as you keep on reporting and keeping your record clean.

Making a misplaced thread is a really minor offense compared to things like Sexually Explicit Material or Trolling. 3nodding

Having reports against you isn't something that necessarily counts against you. If you reported yourself to get things moved to where you wanted them after setting them up, it would not count against you. However, if you were constantly making misplaced topics ... say threads asking for donations anywhere but Chatterbox or Charity/Quests, that is something that would tell us that you were still learning the rules.

Likewise, if you had a history of flaming or saying really rude things, you would need to work really hard to show that you had learned better and that you were not likely to do those things again.

Mods are required to know the rules a lot better than regular users, and we are held to higher standards. Temper, self-control, and being able to keep your cool when in a frustrating situation are important. Because mods frequently end up in them and we need to be part of the solution, not the problem.
