The only way you can join is by filling out the Moderator Application. In which is an NDA where you have to be 18 years or older to sign.

Please read over the first two posts of this thread, as I can tell you havent.

You really should rethink your wish to become a moderator if you aren't able to find a thread where you even made a post.
A moderator's work is much harder and more complicated than that. It's not just the nicely coloured name.

And there's no doing anything about it.

Yes, moderators need to keep track of what they do, its just not the tittle or the colored name.

My advice would be that people who want to be mods shouldn't go hunting for things to report but rather if you see something that needs reporting while you do normal things around the site then report it. I applied a couple of months ago and forgot that I even applied. Went about my daily Gaian activities during this period of time and then out of the blue I was approved.

I agree don't just go looking for someone to report just have fun in GaiaOnline and post in forums 300 to be exact and if you ever submit an application to become a Moderator just be very patient.

My advice would be that people who want to be mods shouldn't go hunting for things to report but rather if you see something that needs reporting while you do normal things around the site then report it. There is a minimum number of reports we like to see, however. If you don't see enough violations during your normal activities, consider going outside your standard range and maybe visit some forums you don't know. Familiarize yourself with the rules, then report violations. The report system is a good way to show that you know the rules and know how to learn the rules for a place you may not otherwise know how to report in. At the very least, there isn't a reason to avoid looking for things to report. Anything reported, whether or not you think it'll help your chances, whether or not it ends up getting you in as a mod, helps the mods handle inappropriate things.
As always, though, accuracy IS important. Knowing what rule is being broken and what should be done about it shows your knowledge better than simply leaving the reason blank.

Looking at the information you posted that was taken from an annoucement made back in 2007. Since that time a number of new requirements have been introduced to ensure the candidates we get are of a high quality. To ensure that all new canditates read all the new information the direct link has been removed from that annoucement forcing you to read this updated FAQ.
So long as you read the first two posts of this thread you should have no trouble learning all the requirements needed and how to go about applying should you meet the criteria.
