i am 20 years old and want to apply to be a mod.
I only have this laptop and share with my sis who is 16. Will gaia check the whole computer mule if i apply? I got a mule banned like 3 years ago...will that affect me?
The only way to know is to apply, but it is very likely to affect you. Gaia can fairly tell the difference between another household member, and mule, but they do thorough background checks before training a person. They will find your mule, most likely. If the ban was not recent though it may or may not affect you. Gaia believes that users do change over time.
I had been banned for like 2 weeks about 2 years ago. it wasn't my fault. will that count against me? that has been my only banning and I have never received any form of warning or anything other then that since I joined in 05.

would i still qualify?
Do Moderators get Free Gaia Gold Or Cash?

Hard to say. It possibly could count against you i suppose, but since it was 2 years ago and you haven't had any warnings or anything recent you should hopefully be ok.
how do you become a moderator have read everything and their isn't any way of applying for it ?????????????????
Rainbow Lei: A 14 day ban may disqualify you from applying. I don't believe anyone has provided any great detail about which warnings & bans will and won't count or how long it takes for them to expire, so your best bet it to just try and see if you are able to get to the application.

xXx_Amayni_xXx: Moderators get paid for their work with gold. They don't get "free" gold or items or cash.

calicov: Read the FAQ, all the information is in there.

I would advise against spamming just to get your post count up. The number is just a factor to stop brand new accounts that aren't used applying. Just carry on as normal.

Being active on Gaia though is important.

Well, the more you post, the more you reveal about yourself - the way you think, the way you react to different scenarios, interact with people on the site etc. So it's easier to figure out if you'd be a good fit for the mod team.

While it would be nice to have more posts than just the bare minimum, the content and quality of what you post is going to be more important than sheer numbers.

Actually, Anlina answered this accurately, you did not. She's a retired mod razz

Users should also realize that I believe this question was answered in the FAQ on page 1.
What If you are a mod and you get warned. Do you be a normal user again?
Mikii says:

This may be a very odd question....
Do you need a conservative style avatar in order to be a Mod?
Would any mods wear the items my avatar is wearing?

It depends on what you are warned for.

@Benzoi: Your avatar will not be taken into consideration when your application is viewed.
