Moderator Application FAQ

Moderators are expected to have a good working knowledge of the forums as well as ToS violations. If you report infrequently there is no way to judge your knowledge of the ToS, and well as your dedication to keeping Gaia clean. If you were rejected due to reporting activity, it pretty much means that you haven't reported much.

I just applied to be a Moderator Assistant. When I clicked the "submit" button, it just went back to the same screen. I'm just curious: did it get through?

This is a common issue, try using a different browser
so if your using Firefox then try applying with IE.

I was unable to apply because I was banned late last year. However, I was found to be innocent of all charges and was unbanned by the administration. Will this ban still count against me in the future, despite me being found innocent?

Just to clarify, you are aware that the position opportunity is for Site Moderator, not permanent Assistant, right? Mod Assistant is no longer a staff position, but only a step in training. Kinda saddens me since I preferred being an assistant lol

Kilomech: At this time to my knowledge, if you have a ban on your account, you cannot apply. Yes you were found innocent but that ban is supposedly still on record. The filter doesn't know the difference. Until they update the filter itself, you can't confused

No, you will not be required to change your name unless it is inappropriate.
