I've earned 86 hearts already and I've messaged every NPC that was on the list.

When do I earn the item?

It comes from getting 250 hearts.

You get 500 gold at 50 sent then 1000 gold at 100 sent, then 1500 gold at 150 sent. you get the valentine 2k12 item at 200 sent. not sure after that heart heart
