RedX Avatars in Profile Customization Aug 7
Many users are having problems customizing their avatars in their profiles. The avatar image in the customization window appears as a redX or a broken image. There is a workaround thread here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8581350 which has some suggestions for what to try.

Avatar preview shows as red X / "Error adding save request to the queue. Please wait a moment and save your avatar again."
Many users are reporting getting these errors. There are workarounds listed here: Avatar Customization Workaround 2.0! Updates--second post

"woops!You already have a game in progress." July 1st
Many users are experiencing difficulties in entering multiplayer fishing or slots, getting the error message telling them they are already in a game when they are not. There are no workarounds at this time.

Fishing Buckets are not always saved (D bait?)
Users are reporting that when fishing with D bait, although the scores are recorded, the fish are not being saved to their inventory. There have been a few reports that indicate it may not only be D bait as well. There are no known workarounds for this at the moment.

Arranger Won't Save July 15th
Update Aug 15: This has been fixed.
When attempting to save changes with the inventory arranger, users are getting an error message that reads: "ALERT Your inventory has changed since you loaded the inventory arranger. Please reload and begin again." Reloading doesn't seem to help, so no saves can be done at the moment.

Users unable to access forums November 4th
Many, many users are currently unable to access forums or guilds. This problem appears to have started approximately two days ago. At the same time, Gaia Towns, the maps and the pm system all work perfectly fine. The exact reasoning for this is currently unknown. Some users are reporting success in disabling their firewalls or switching to an alternate one, but this is not a fix all. (It is also VERY RISKY to turn off your firewalls completely, because it leaves your computer open to a lot of unpleasant things).

We are aware of this problem, as are the admins and the programmers and it is being looked into at current time. If you know someone with this error please let them know that we are aware of their situation.

New scammer account, same old scam

Gaian users have been sending pm's been trying to con people with a story about making them moderators.

Remember Gaia Online Staff will NEVER ask you for your password. If you ever have doubts as to whether something you recieve is real or not please feel free to contact us for verification.

Please also note that numerous accounts with variations on the name RecruitModv.Beta are sending out a scam moderator invitation asking for passwords. If you recieve a letter inviting you to be a moderator asking for your password it will always be false.

A very, very small number of users are reporting that while posting or browsing the site they find themselves logged in as another member. Password and Security information is unaffected. Users cannot change passwords, start trades or any of that while logged in as other member. We are aware of this glitch and it is being worked on with full speed and all the attention it requires. If it happens to you please log out of the account and continue about the site.

ModOnGaia: Hello, We at Gaiaonline.com have recieved report from one or more people that you have been using racial slurs. As you may or may not know this is highly innapropriate for gaiaonlines PG13 rating, and will no longer be tolerated. You have been suspended for (2) days. We will need Your gaiaonline username and password to enter you into the GSD so we can keep a closer eye on you. Thanks for your cooperation. If you fail to supply the information needed then your computers IP address will result in an instant ban within (1) hour. Sincerely, Gaiaonline Staff.

New AIM Scam

GaiaModerators: Hello, we at gaiaonline staff have recieved reports from one or more different users that you have been using racial slurs. Ghost PM's active again Dec 4th
Most, if not all users are experiencing a glitch where after they recieve new mail the letter symbol does not go away, making it look like they constantly have new mail waiting for them. Mail also appears bolded as if it has just arrived for an extended period of time. This issue has been going on for multiple days.

Gaia Towns is currently not functioning properly. Nearly all or all users are unable to access towns, though some have reported being able to access it. For those experiencing trouble a "Setting Permission" bar appears and does not go away. Cause is unknown but the issue is known.

Avatar Customizing/Saving Down/Shop Previews Dec 10th
The Avatar Customizer is currently down for most users, or works sporadically for short periods of time. A Red "x" or broken image appears in place of avatar image, and saving function times out. All NPC shop previews are also affected by this issue, and will display a broken image as well. It is recommended that users do not switch profile servers to circumvent this problem. No safe, known workaround at this time.
