Changing names may not work for today.

There have been reports of users changing their names and having their money taken without their name being changed. Lanzer may have broken this feature and will hopefully be able to fix it sometime today or tommorow.

Error Removing Items from Inventory, refresh trade window and try again Aug 15
This error was thought to be fixed, but many users are still reporting it. There are no workarounds, but users who get this error are advised to attempt trading items individually, since there are some indications that the error may be linked to specific items, not specific accounts.

Update Aug 15: This should be working fine now.
Try not to change your name for the rest of the day as Lanzer is working on fixing it. If you try to change your name while the feature is broken you may lose your gold.

Arranger Won't Save July 15th
Update Aug 15: This has been fixed.
When attempting to save changes with the inventory arranger, users are getting an error message that reads: "ALERT Your inventory has changed since you loaded the inventory arranger. Please reload and begin again." Reloading doesn't seem to help, so no saves can be done at the moment.

Update: Users who had this problem should have their letters by now. If you have problems still with not having received donation letters, please use the Feedback Form to report this.

Update: Ling has made an Announcement regarding this issue. The problem has been solved, but those of you still awaiting letters should be getting them within the week. Thanks for your patience

There currently appears to be a problem with PayPal and multiple letter donations. Rather than giving a letter for each increment of $2.50, it seems to be granting a letter for each donation transaction, no matter the amount. The admins are aware of the situation.

Many users are reporting that they seem to be stuck getting this message continually and are therefore unable to post to the forums. There are no workarounds at this time. The issue is being looked into. This thread: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9407801 in the Bug Reports and Technical Support forum can be posted in by friends/mules if they want to let us know who is experiencing this problem.

  Currently, the view forum moderator listings are returning blank lists. There are no workarounds for this. There is a user-created moderator list in Extended Feedback: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9723913 (no guarantees that this is fully up to date however).

Giftwrap/Engraving Down Mar 12 (updated Sept 7)
Currently, items cannot be giftwrapped or engraved. When trying to perform either function, the following error message is received: "Item cannot be found in your inventory. Please refresh your page and try again" There are no known fixes at this time.
UPDATE: Giftwrapping is functional now, but engraving is still not possible. It is not recommended that you use the giftwrapping function, as the giftwrapped boxes may still be unopenable.

Blank name trades Sept 8
Some users have been reporting glitches where trades in their pending trades list at the bank not only show no subject line, but also blank out the name of the other user they are trading with. A workaround has been found for this, as described below. Note: This workaround works best if the blank name trade is the ONLY trade currently in your pending trades.
**If your trade shows a name of the user you are trading with, but no subject line, you can click on the name to access the trade.

For Firefox you just have to press right click and "V" over any part of the page or right click with your mouse.. and select in the menu "View page source"

Then, search with "control + F" (search) this line:

That line should appear.. but at the end it will have the ID number we are searching for.

Next:
Copy the part: "bank.php?mode=trade&trade_id=NUMBER" and add it to the URL I posted as the base. (top of this post... paste it without the "" thingys)

You'll get a link like this:

Remember that moderators will not, should not, ask for your information such as account passwords. If they do, they should be reported. ANY time that someone asks for your password, you should report it, regardless of who they claim to be, or are in fact.

Log in problems
Some members are logging into Gaia only to recieve a temporary IP lockout. This is standard when a password is misguessed multiple times, but is happening with one or no false guesses. Users do gain access after the 15 minute ban is up and they are not being locked out of the site altogether.

The following message may or may not show up before the ban:

Avatar saving is laggy Sept 15
Avatar saving appears to be working...however, it seems that it is taking a while (15+ min? or more) for the new avatar to show up on the site. The cause of this is unknown, but it may be due to strain on the profile server. Please refrain from repeatedly trying to save if you receive the message that your avatar was saved successfully. And at times it may not be working completely.

Update: Flood Control seems to be activated even if you haven't saved your avatar recently. This is preventing avatars from being saved.

GGN Guilds - Moderation Difficulties Sept 20
Since the re-opening of GGN guilds a couple of days ago, guild captains and crew are unable to delete or lock threads, and also unable to edit posts that they did not make themselves. These features should be coming back in the near future. Please do not PM moderators asking them to do these things for you, as they are not able to do these things in GGN guilds either right now. For the moment, please try to make do with post deletion and banning problem users from your guilds.
