Items cannot be added to trades Feb 1st
Many users are experiencing difficulty with adding items to their trades at the bank. Items either refuse to be added, or show up as a red X and the trade does not complete properly. This is being worked on. Trade Window is Empty Feb 10
Users unable to start/confirm/edit trades and get the error message: 'Your trade window is empty. You cannot start a trade with an empty trade window. Click here to try again.' UPDATE Feb 11: This should be fixed now.

General Error: Error transfering items from trade window. Feb 12
Confirming trades seems to be impossible at the moment. Everyone gets this error message: "Error transfering items from trade window to user, refresh trade window and try again" UPDATE Feb 13: This should be fixed now. See announcement in the announcements forum.

Inventory Decimation Feb 9
Some people have reported their entire inventories disappearing subsequent to using the bank and completing a trade. Cause of the error is not known at this time. If you experience this error, please report it in this thread: Trade Errors: Misc. (Post Here to Debug!) or PM a moderator directly so we can help you.

Edit or Cancel Error Jan 29
Users are getting an error message saying, "This trade had been confirmed by you. You can only edit or cancel this trade. Click here to view your trade with XXX" After clicking, it takes them to a blank page and the trade does not complete.
If you received this message, please do not panic. The items have NOT been lost. The trades are simply not being completed. (This is now only experienced by a small group of users.)

Profiles are temporarily down Feb 18
Yes, the profiles are down right now. Hopefully they'll be back up in a while. There's no fix for being able to change outfits, however, if users would like to check what event items are in their inventory and such, they can go to a store and click on an item as though they were going to sell it to have the item description pop up. This will also work in the trading window at the bank.

LAG Feb 14
Feb 15: This should be fixed now....
The site is lagging a bit at the moment. This is causing various problems... aside from the usual pages being slow to load and more frequent showings of the 'archiving' message, the PM database 'Rice' also seems to be having trouble, making it difficult to get into PM's. It's not 'down' though, you can get in if you keep refreshing. Additionally, items bought/traded/etc... from stores, marketplace, or the bank, might take a while to show up in your inventory.

Database failure/Features down Feb 12
Due to a database server failure (link), a large number of Gaia's features are down.
Feb 13: Should all be fixed now.
1pm: Avatar saving is working now. ^^
4pm: PMs are working again, along with report stuff.
These include:
- Saving avatars
- Accessing PMs/Mail
- "Find your own posts"/"Find your latest topics" (Previous history was lost, but new history seems to work fine.)
- possibly others.

Currently, there are no known workarounds. The admins are working on them.

Avatar Deletion Broken Feb 5
Feb 7 - This is fixed now.
Avatar Deletion has been broken for several days now. Upon entering the password to delete an avatar, the user receives the following error message: Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/admin/public_html/profile/inventory/delete.php on line 9 There is no fix for this.

White Pages Jan 31
Starting earlier today, there have been reports of pages not loading. Only white, no text or images. There is no fix for this, but the Admins will look in to it as soon as they are able to!


GGN guilds Jan 19
The Taco Database is having problems, so the Gaia Guild Network is not working. This will be fixed as soon as possible. The message reads:

Currently, the Remember me function isn't working properly. You will be logged out and have to login again.

Sushi Critical Errors
Update: The problem causing the massive # of sushi errors has been fixed. It is unknown if the current errors (though less infrequent) are related to this. It may very well be high database load, and nothing more.

Sushi is the name of the Gaia database. Recently, people have been seeing this error instead of the usual "phpbb Critical Error" and are wondering what it is. The errors are actually synonymous. The errors for "sushi" are the same errors as the phpbb Critical Errors, however, they are being generated by the new Gaia code that is more robust and has better error handling. When you get these errors, simply refresh and continue. There seems to be the most errors during Gaia Peak Hours.

Poll gold Feb 5
Everyone seems to be noticing that you no longer get gold for every single poll you vote in. Originally, there was a limit on how many polls you could earn ten gold for within a specific time limit. The limit on poll gold vanished when the 3 month long gold-earning glitch was fixed back in Oct. A limit on poll gold has now been re-instated. This is not an error.

Problems with New Accounts Dec 31 (update)
New accounts are having a variety of problems. The problems seem to change constantly. Below are some of the most frequently reported problems - some of which are fixed now (or should be fixed) sweatdrop

• Private Messages
  PM's are not working for new members. They can see the bubble but can't read the mesages. Some new accounts will not let anyone PM them. gonk
  Workaround
  If you put the member's username in a PM and send it, they may recieve it. However the message does not show in the OUTBOX or SENTBOX.
  They cant reply though. sad
  Workaround
  To read a PM when it wont open:
  Step 1: Right click on the PM title and Copy Shortcut
  Step 2: Paste it in to your browser
  Step 3: Find the word "read" and change it to "quote"
  Example
  
• Thread Subscription
  New members are not able to subscribe to threads.
  Note: Existing members who are subscribed to a thread and a new member posts in it, the thread will sometimes not show in their subscription list, but posting in it again will bring it back
  
• Posting
  -Posting in threads sometimes does not work. Also, threads have stopped working when new members post 15+ times in a thread.
  -Post history is weird also. It will show the username of the member who created the thread, and not the username of the member you were searching for. Clicking on the link does take you to their message in that thread.

Please read this thread if you are experiencing this glitch.

Red X items
There are several items which are not able to be worn. They will cause your avatar to turn to a red x, or will not let you equip them. Several of the Jack items are on this list.

Buying Trade Pass Feb 24
Many users are missing the Buy Pass button when visiting the bank to buy a Trade Pass. Thankfully, the URL for buying a pass still works. (Clicking the link below should give you a pop-up at the bank asking if you want to buy a pass.)

Mar 7: Think this is fixed now.
Many users, especially those with underscores in their names, are having trouble logging in at the moment.
Workaround: Users should be able to get around this difficulty by using their user ID instead of their avatar name to log in. How to find a User ID#

New Posts Icon Not Working Jan 24
This has actually been going on for a long time now. For many users, the icons on threads do not show when there have been new posts since their last login. The icon only seems to change to indicate new posts made after these users have logged in.

This also causes the 'new announcement' notice not to show up for the announcements forum if a new post has been made since they last logged in.

Error in Posting Feb 16th
Mar 7: Think this is fixed now.
Some users are reporting that they are getting error messages while trying to post in certain threads or forums. There is no known fix for this at this time.

Phantom PM's Jan 22
Mar 7: Fixed now.
Since the release of the reviesed PM system, members have been recieving the PM notification when there is no message. The cause of this is unknown and will be looked in to as soon as possible.

Random Items disappearing Feb 13
Some users are reporting random items disappearing from their inventory. It's not clear whether this is directly related to the bank or not. If this happens to you, please notify a moderator.

Thumbnail Errors Feb 9
Mar 7: Should be fixed now. ^^
Many people are reporting that their sealed letters or some other various items in their inventory are showing up with the image of a male tan peasants top instead of the correct image. The correct item name and description should still show up upon mouseover, even at the bank, or in the drop down list at the marketplace. This is being worked on.

Rotating Avatars Jan 28
Mar 7: Think this is fixed now.
Recently, new accounts have been having strange 'chameleon' rotating avatars that seem to change facial features, hair, gender, etc.. at random. This is currently being worked on.
Workaround: Putting on any clothing and saving the changes to the avatar should fix this.

"Your Store is Full" Feb 15
Some users are getting an error message: "There were one or more errors while processing your request Sorry, your store is already full" though their store has less than four items in it. If you experience this, you please contact a moderator and they should be able to help you with it.

Transaction Locks #1/Expired Items Feb 15th
Update Mar 7: Locks should now not last longer than about two days. If you get a lock on an item that fails to clear up within two days, please report it in the transaction lock thread.
The transaction locks affecting a majority of Gaians occurs when an action taken in the marketplace 'fails'. This causes the item to be locked, and does not allow any further modification to the item listing by buyers or by the seller. The item also 'expires' but remains in the marketplace. The seller cannot confirm/accept bid or do anything else with the locked item. This is a known issue and is being looked into.

Gold does not get transferred when trading Feb 13
Mar 7: Appears to be fixed now.
Some users are reporting that trades with items on one side and gold on the other, the item is transferred but the gold is not.

Gold Lag Mar 12
A lot of users have been noticing that when trading, purchasing items through the marketplace, or from the NPC stores, their gold doesn't seem to disappear when they make the purchase. While it's good to report these things if you actually do buy something and get it for free, at the moment we highly recommend you wait at least an hour or two before jumping to the conclusion that you got something for free. Gold removal has simply been lagging and the gold count hasn't been updating as quickly as we are used to. The gold should disappear after a short while if you give it some time.


Database Errors Mar 12
There's been site-wide issues with database errors for a couple of days now. If you get a message that says, "Error, Could not connect to <insert funky food name for database here> database," Don't worry about it. Just refresh, and the page should eventually load for you.

For quite a while now, the Gun Metal Black Long Coat has been showing up with the thumbnail image of the Black Musketeer top. While the item name will show up correctly in the marketplace, stores, inventory, and when hovered over in bank trades, users should be wary of trades involving the Black Musketeer top and make sure they're getting the correct item. Musketeer top = 11k Gun Metal Black Long Coat = 1.6k Users who are found exploiting this glitch to scam others out of gold will be banned.

Users are experiencing a glitch with re-creating their avatar after deleting it. The image to re-create their character shows up reversed and isn't clickable.
