    PM's are not working for new members. They can see the bubble but can't read the mesages. Some new accounts will not let anyone PM them. gonk

    New members are not able to subscribe to threads.
    Note: Existing members who are subscribed to a thread and a new member posts in it, the thread will sometimes not show in their subscription list, but posting in it again will bring it back
    
  • Posting
    Posting in threads sometimes does not work. Also, threads have stopped working when new members post 15+ times in a thread.
    
    Post history is weird also. It will show the username of the member who created the thread, and not the username of the member you were searching for. Clicking on the link does take you to their message in that thread.

  Currently Character Creation is not working if you delete your avatar. You will look like the grey base image if you try to delete. There is no fix for this at this time. There may be this message ...

This message is showing up on any thread randomly. It's a message saying the DAO is not finding something when viewing the thread. Sometimes refreshing once will fix this. If that does not work, then trying again later may work.

Fishing related issues (Nov 20)
Since the release of fishing, there have been a number of reports with problems related to it - gold/item related issues and exploit issues. For gold and item issues, please post them here so the Admins can fix it and prevent it from happening in the future:

Fishing Bait
For some members, when using the last of their bait, it will not go away once completing the game. Please be sure to buy more bait before fishing again to avoid any problems. 3nodding

Donation items from 2003
For some reason, the donation items from 2003 say that they're still sealed and to wait till the end of the month. eek

Page Cannot Be Found (Nov 20)
Frequently pages are unable to be viewed. Refreshing or trying again later usually works. Occasionally, restarting your computer and clearing your cache is the only solution to this. This occurs most often with the profile page on http://www.gaiaonline.com/profile/index.php

Registration Errors
When registering for a new account, it says "sorry, your session has timed out, please register again" Try again later, on a different computer, and be sure you try to register both ways. The front page has the flash set up to register new accounts. The original way of signing up can still be accessed; Click Here

Also, when registering, the name you want for your new account will instead be renamed on to your current account. Occasionally, it will make the new account with your desired name and write over your existing account. If that happens, please use the Feedback Form to contact the Administrators.

Who's Online
This feature is not working. No matter how long mods are online and unhidden, their names are not showing on the "Who's online" list at the bottom of the Gaia Online Forum Index.

Sorry, this should have been added a bit ago. We know the Olympic Forum is completely archived. It's on a very big list of things to set to right. smile

MSN Impostor SCAM

I've just received reports that a certain someone has been asking for passwords thru MSN, telling people she's me and asking for passwords to 'fix' their accounts.

Needless to say, it's not true, neither I or any other Gaia Staff will EVER ask you for your password, and even if we did, you should know better than to give it to us. Much less outside of Gaia.

The email of this person is [e-mail], so please beware, I don't even have MSN.

If you have been a victim, please PM an online General Moderator asap.

For the past few days, transactions have not been completing on their own. When a bid times out, it does not give the item to the buyer nor the gold to the seller. Sometimes the seller is able to go in to their store and finish the bid by clicking on "Accept"

  To read a PM when it wont open:
  Step 1: Right click on the PM title and Copy Shortcut
  Step 2: Paste it in to your browser
  Step 3: Find the word "read" and change it to "quote"

Bank glitches Jan 22
There is a glitch with the bank currently when trading with other members. If the trade is canceled, the items in the trade may not come back. There is no fix for this.

It is highly reccomended not to use the bank until this is fixed!

Bank glitches Jan 22
There is a glitch with the bank currently when trading with other members. If the trade is canceled, the items in the trade may not come back. There is no fix for this.

It is highly reccomended not to use the bank until this is fixed!

For weeks now, the Bank has not been accepting information on the first try. Adding gold or items will take 2 or more tries for it to take for some members. The same with sending a trade, many members need to add their password more than once before the trade will get sent.

Starting a trade
When looking at a member's Profile, or if they are on your friend's list, clicking the button will take you directly to the trade page with them on the first try.

When viewing items that have been engraved, the message does not show under the main page of your inventory page. However, you can read the engravings by switching to the All tab:
