There are currently issues connecting to some features, such as profiles and journals. We don't have an ETA as to when this will be fixed, but it's a known issue and will be looked into as soon as possible smile |

More Email Password Scams.
This is the latest letter and email not to fall for. Quote: From: Gaia Online Moderator <gaiaonline-moderator@kuririnmail.com> Dear Gaia User, It has come to our attention that you, or someone on your account has scammed several users on Gaia. Because of this, you will be banned from the site on all accounts linked to your computer. For safety issues and to make sure this account on Gaia is yours, we will need you to fill out the following information below and send it back to us as soon as possible. Gaia Username - Gaia Password - Reason you should not be banned - We will need the above information to verify if the account is yours. If this information is not sent back to us via e-mail, we will be forced to shut down or ban your Gaiaonline account. Sorry for the inconvenience. New PM Password Phishing scam.
Please watch out for this PM, as it is false. Quote: You have been suspected of hacking multiple accounts on Gaia We have received a few reports of you hacking accounts on Gaia. In order to avoid an immediate ban, we require your password to check your trade history. If you take longer then FIVE minutes to respond to this warning, your account will be permanently banned. If you chose to cooperate and we find you guilty, your ban will only be temporary. But if you chose to disobey, your account will lose all of its rights and your IP will be blocked from our site. New password scam going around via Email. Please watch out for gaia-support-group@hotmail.com.
The message goes something like this. Quote: Dear Gaia, We have sent this letter to you and other Gaia's because it is that time of year when we need to have more moderators around our place. If you deside you want to be a moderator and email us your Gaia information we will be sending a Gaia quiz and you will have to answer at least 20 out of 25 out of the questions listed if you do succeed we will then send a request regarding for you to be a moderator. Information needed: Gaia's Name: Gaia's Password: Gaia's date of birth: Please give us your Gaia information so that we know which Gaia to send this too Please reply to this message as soon as possible Thank you -- Gaia Support Don't be fooled by this. Moderators are not seleceted in this way. |

Another new Password Scam going around to look out for.
Again be aware this is not true. Gaia staff will not ask for your passwords. So please watch out for these scams and report them immediately! Looks like another Password Scam is going around. Just got this new report.
Again this is a scam, do not give them your password. A new bogus PM is cycling through. Watch out for this one guys.

Febuary 5, 2007 - Bank has gone kerboom, Inventory Arranger disabled. ^_^;
The bank page is currently being finicky for everyone, and gives the error "Unable to retrieve trade summaries" Giftgiving system is also being uncooperative, and gives the error "Unable to query Bank metadata table." Inventory arranger is currently down for repairs, and cannot be used at this time. These problems should be fixed now. |

Gaia Battle System Scam
A new Battle System scam is going around to try and steal your passwords. Please be on the look out for this and similar PMs. These are fake and are meant only to steal your accounts and items/gold. Quote: Well, the moment you have been waiting for has finally come. As you lucky gaians can tell from the new donation item, the battle system is soon to be up and going. It will be opening next month after the new donation item is released. Well, you are one of the 200 to test out the new battle system. Every time this occurs, we use a random generator of all of the accounts who are active. What do we get out of this? -Well, you will be one of the 200 to try out this system. Wouldn't that be fun? Another Password Scam floating around. This one saying you're being picked to be a mod. They again ask for username and password.

More password scammings by PM are going around. For some users, they are getting 2 or 3 of these a day. Remember that Gaia staff do not ask for your passwords, ever. 3nodding

If you do not Change the information requested immediately your account will result in a Perma-Ban. Change: Password- xxxxxx We are not asking for your gaia password. We are simply asking you to change it. So your account wont result in Perma-Ban. Please notify password change. Sincerely, xxxxxx There would be no reason for you to be banned because of your current password. This just makes it easier for scammers to get onto your accounts to steal your stuff and even the account itself. So DON'T DO IT!!!
