CHAINMAIL! (Derek?)

Well I have been recieving a LOT of Chainmail recently. And all of the same thing! This letter states that because of lots of new members Gaia has become slow and to prove you are active you have to post this note to 10-15 people. It is signed 'Gaia Cofounder(Which should be Co-Founder?) Derek'
I don't really believe that ots true but it is annoying so can someone tell me if this is genuine of originated with some idiotic prank?

Or 3. Just thought Fezzes are cool always- WHICH I DID!! I found a Fez in a charity shop and bought it for 50p and ran around wearing it 2 weeks before that episode.
So anyway thanks- Yeah I wasn't sure which thread to put it in. I get onfused about that type of thing.
I thought the chainmail was fake because i was sure Gaia admins wouldnt send out chainmails but i wasnt sure.
