Booty Grab glowing coins?

I started playing Booty Grab to make some gold, but I don't get this one feature of it.
Why do some coins glow? You know, red, green or blue.

I sometimes get tanks with only blue, or sometimes it's mixed all together.
I've tried doing things like only catching the green ones, but I don't notice any difference.

What do those colors mean? Sorry if it's been asked before or is explained somewhere already.

The different colours give different amounts of gold.

Regular gold coins are worth 1g each.

Green coins are worth 2g each.

Blue coins are worth 3g each.

And red coins are worth 5g each.

I thought it had something to do with those extras (good ones or bad ones).
