I would like in at some point plz
I'm happy with the new grading system
Understandably, things are busy and I haven't had a chance to actually try it out... but to voice my main concern over things mentioned in the announcements:

I don't like the idea of paying to submit. I greatly appreciate the effort at theoretically higher quality entries, but honestly if we're not getting anything from it, why would we want to pay?

Probably the greatest thing I've seen done for the arenas was the additional text entry to filter out bot/spam comments. 3nodding So I thank you guys so much for that.
I like the layout and the BBCode manipulation, but I can't tell if fan fictions are allowed or not.

I like what you did with the arenas, just one suggestion. How about putting in a cosplay arena?

You should start accepting realism in the art arenas. Not just anime, manga, and sci-fi!

i agree!
I can't get in but the previews look pretty sweet!!I love all of the new ideas and the gold to submit because alot of the time the avatars are really cheap ya'know?
I got a couple of error messages while trying to look at the beta site but I'm assuming it's because there are no real entries.
When I clicked the "Story book house > learn more"
I got this error. "Ooops!! Invalid Url, this one is not coming from Arenas."
It's a little nicer lay out but I'm still not fond of so much eye searing white background.

Is there any way to describe the difference between comic and paint/drawing? Is the comic section mean it's for comic, manga/comical/story/panels? Or do you mean art style, cartoonish/manga.

I would like to have a cosplay arena for the avatar arena, PLEASE?!

The theme just reminds me of VJ/Youtube, I don't really like it. Layout/organization/composition is good, but the aesthetics (color, design) is plain/dull. Is there any way for you to make the "My Stuff" section more noticable? Maybe try changing the arena tabs to match the header's tabs?

While using the 'view all' feature for any arena, entries are showing their current rating/standing average. If people can see current rating average, why not give the number of times the entry has been rated? Like, 151 people had rated this entry, with an average of 4/5 stars. Normally, when we want to see high rated entry, we can't tell if the high rating was only from one person who happens to be a mule.

I don't like the star system as it currently is. 1-10 as it is I found restrictive enough and wished the avatar arena had a zero option like the art arena and that we could do decimals, at least .5s between numbers. I like the suggestion that has been made of at least letting us have half star ratings we can do so the stars format could be kept, but we wouldn't lose options in voting. Keep in mind you may for whatever reason feel you need to get in line with rating systems on the rest of the internet (which I find a bit silly of you, I think Gaia should be proud of its uniquness, not trying to just fit in with every other website razz ) but at least with avatars I know Gaians have since even before the creation of the original avatar arena been rating on a 1-10 scale as the standard (and we'd give zeros when we saw fit too if it wasn't forbidden by forum rules as flaming, despite some people's avatars just truly not being worth anything at all, like people who against recommendation about the 5 item thing ask for rates on an avatar in nothing but default undies every so often.) And the larger-than-normal avatars is reeeeeeeeeally a negative thing. It makes it too obviously pixely looking. I like the addition of the writing arena. I'm hoping it will get people to stop this stupid business of writing stories or poetry in the description box and getting votes based off that rather than just the avatar itself.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention one of my biggest concerns! All the other arenas get categories, why doesn't the avata arena?! C'mon, at least have a separate arena for cosplays versus other avatars! D: There is a very big difference in the point and method of cosplay avatars and what we vote on with them versus non-cosplay avatars,
