I was thinking about hitting up X next month but really, I'm only big on the first album and c'mon, they're old. It's showing.

I'd still ******** John Doe though because, s**t, how can you not?

Nobody actually Likes G.G. Allin.

In fact, I'm not entirely sure that anyone has actually listened to a G.G. Allin album.

I know this is an old post but I am genuinely a GG fan. I correspond with Merle on a regular basis. I've listened to almost his entire discography.

Anyways, it's hard to narrow it down to 3, mainly because my mood determines what I listen to...

emotion_bandaid I'm going to have to say Johnny Hobo - preferably with the brass.
emotion_bandaid I've been all about Wendy O WIlliams and the Plasmatics this week, I consider her to be punk, though it does have that classic 80s powermetal vibe
emotion_bandaid and uh.. Pestpocken, why not ;p

I sort of want to beat you with a switch made of a willow branch.
Black Veil Brides is NOT PUNK.
Nor is Slipknot.
They're not even punk subgenres.

As for my favourites: Germs, Sex Pistols, Komatose.

sex pistols aren't punk either

He did age.... well.... They're worth seeing and they generally pick music from their better albums, but it's definitely not a younger crowd going to see them anymore... at least not here in san francisco. Last time I saw them they were playing as the Knitters so it was many of the same songs but as bluegrass.

He did age.... well....

He aged gracefully enough. He's a sexy rockabilly Cryptkeeper.

Exene however is like your drunk aunt at a wedding.

February is Punk Rock Legends Tour Extravaganza in Portland. I think I'm seeing X one week and then The Residents the week after.

The last time I saw The Residents, I was on mushrooms and it was bananacakes crazy.

Oh and for fun since I'm going through concert photos, here's a great shot of The Cramps on their last tour that I took:
