I bought two albums today from the local store. I bought Green Day's 39/Smooth and an Operation Ivy CD. Operation Ivy was awesome and I like the song Knowledge. Has anybody listened to these guys? It has punk and reggae like sounds in it in my opinion. So I thought that was a pretty neat twist

hahahahaha no, see i'm totally cool with socially relevant lyrics in my music. thing is: operation ivy's lyrics are not socially relevant.

See, the first thing you did wrong was buy a green day cd. The second thing you did wrong was put Green Day and Op ivy in the same paragraph.

It's a shame that op ivy wasn't around for more than one release, but I do like Rancid a little bit better. (Although I enjoy the ska aspect of op ivy).
