Alashuko The Fighter
bung life
a cool place in the 70s and early 80s, a glorified t-shirt store otherwise
T shirt store? So CBGBs is still open?
nah, just in it's later days it became more of a pale imitation of what it once was (a sketchy club that some neat bands played in 30-40 years ago) and became more of a place where kids at a Paramore show could buy a Ramones tee for like 25 bucks
much the same route that Emo's Austin would have taken if it had stayed open another ten or so years
e: to put it a little more clearly, CB's was a club that everyone born in the 90's liked to idolize because a handful of bands played there in the late 70's, by their time it was nowhere near what the legends said and imploded due to poor management sometime in the mid to late 00's
