have to admit it was random xD
Ah, okay. See, photo compositions shouldn't be so random.
Your concepts can be random and spontaneous, but a random composition doesn't make for good aesthetic.

Yea, take a walk around your city, go outside, whatever.
There's a lot around you.

woot I went outside today with an SLR camera in downtown Manhattan ^_^ I got picture happy and i tried going out my comfort zone by taking pictures of people, and different angles of things that aren't recognizable from that point of view

I did Lines, I did patterns, I did somewhat of thirds*couldnt find nething that could work with that*, i did texture type of thing.

I'll start scanning during Clubs or during lunch. I have about 4-6 photos that i liked that im going to scan (all black and white, my photo teacher doesn't like use using digital cameras or color photos, she thinks colors distract from the actual photography)

Awesome.

Well, your teacher has the right idea of where to start, but I believe that if you have a good handle on the skills to use an SLR, you can allow yourself to update to digital and color.

Not bad. You got a good start going. A website I use for ideas, tutorials, and whatever else is DPS. They have a whole bunch of information on there. Check it out when your bored and you'll learn a million more things. Also talk with other photographers, look and critique pictures. You'll learn so much that way too. Add me on flickr or deviantart and I'll be more then happy to add some comments to your pictures.

That's good advice, Saaburu.

Getting critiques in person from professionals really helped me. And get those huge books of famous photographer shots.
They can be very inspirational.

First of all, I agree with what the others have said about composition and lighting. Many of your photos are too dark, over-exposed, or blurry. You need to study your camera and figure out what the settings do. As for composition, try to balance the subjects in the photo. Look at where the subject is standing and try to get the whole thing in the photo for one (several of your photos are cutting the subject out of the frame) and try to create a composition where the eye travels around and is able to move freely. Also, take into consideration what's in the background. My favourite example of this is your "what subject" piece. LOL. Nuff' said.
Here are a few things to look up:

ISO
Focus
White Balance
Aperture

Understanding the basics will help you excel in photography, and allow you to use your camera to its full ability.
And, as a side note, your excuse that you didn't have a professional camera just doesn't work. A good photograph comes from a good photographer, NOT a good camera. talk2hand
