I don't have one. I only show my art on bluecanvas.com. I'm also considering starting a threadless account. I'll check your store out though.

I have one! I really like some of the stuff in your shop. I added you to my circle. Here's my shop, if you want to check it out. Wishing Tree Creations

I would start a threadless one. I've had one for years but I've been too busy to even think about designing anything for it. Teefury is another great place to try and get your designs onto shirts (they only do shirts unlike threadless that does everything nowadays).

Thanks for looking. smile My friends and I do a lot of sewing and crafting besides the fact that I do design, photography, etc. So much art, not enough time!

Well thank you! smile I will add you to my circle though as I do have space.
I have an etsy store as well.. although I'm not sure if by the rules of the forum we're really allowed to post them like this, so I'll just say my Etsy username is EludyaQuinn smile

Edit: just to note, I added you all t' my circle... I assume this is just a way to keep up with people you know? I'm kind of new to doing more than basic browsing and purchases.
Are you guys doing anything special to promote your items for the holidays? I'm working on a few Christmas ornaments and will hopefully be able to get my first sale. I'm still learning all this stuff and it's kind of hard to get going. Any tips?

I'm not right now, as I'm overbooked with working on Halloween orders and my own Halloween stuff. After that I have to get prepped for daishocon (so many costumes to do!). Ideally I want to get some papercrafting done, but I've have zero time at all this year. sad

Best bet, join some of the different groups on etsy, check out other shops and see what they have. Just by being active to some degree can help get your shop visibility up there. I've only been doing this since May and it's been mainly the Harry Potter stuff that has been going over quite well.

Yup, basically you can see what people are liking and whom they're adding to their circles and perhaps find other things of interest you may not normally find! Also, if you're selling things it's another outlet to get your stuff out there! smile

Yes, which is handy considering I don't exactly have spare cash on hand to do any advertising right now. Anything sells and that's the first thing I'm gonna figure out, besides buying a couple more spools of wire.

I have a question: do any of you do craft shows? What do you do with your etsy stores while you're at a show, take it on vacation and unlist anything that sells at the show? Do they have an issue with that? I mean they can't really expect to be able to stop people from doing that despite their whole "this and that fee avoidance" policy, and I can't really guarantee the ability to replicate pieces given I basically buy stones that catch my eye that might not be there the next time I go shopping.

It should be fine to take down a piece that sells outside of etsy, you'll just lose the fee that you paid to put it up. They have an option to deactivate a listing, which would then take it out of your shop. I haven't had to do anything like this yet, just renewing expired listings.

I unfortunately do not do anything with craft shows as I do not have the time to make the quantity of product I would need to have for selling. Maybe someday, but I'm too busy with work and cosplay to pursue my 100,000,000,000 (etc) hobbies I like to pick up!

Excellent question. I hadn't even thought of that but I'm glad you pointed it out because I am going to a craft show in a few weeks. I might just leave my listings up and if an item sells at a craft show and on etsy, I would just give it to the craft show person and offer to make another for the etsy buyer. I can't replicate anything either with my original artwork but I can offer something similar or custom. I'm really not worried that will happen because the craft show is just two hours and I haven't sold anything yet, so it seems a bit of an unnecessary hassle to unlist an item for a craft show and then just put it back up.

Yeah, I guess I've got time to ask since I don't know if I'll be doing any craft shows anytime soon exactly, but I do intend to go to our Mosey Down Main Street next summer. They don't charge anything as a set up fee, you just need to have a table and stuff and register your name so they know about you selling there.

I've also got a friend who manages the library system in the next county up who's dropping my name to the people who run the art shows there. Dunno what they're going to charge but I'm excited about it all the same.

Some of my work can have very similar things done, some of them are basically one of a kind stones, or close to (quartz has patterns in shaping but inner refraction...) so I know what you mean there.
