Some people are annoying when bidding. I suggest asking people that are selling in the MP on what the average they are looking for and then see if you can gather between what they are asking for..
Some are nice enough to actually tell you the minimum they want for it, some on the other hand.. ^^; Are a little rude.

But the guy who sold me mine was a darling~

Just ask around through PM, doing it when someone is selling in the exchange is sort of a waste of time because of other buyers > <
