My cursor code isn't working.

body {cursor: url();}
a {cursor: url();}

And it looks wrong. That looks too simple to be a real code. Y'know.
Is there a size limit on cursors? I was using a sprite. D:

as far as i know it wont work with a .gif file .... it should be .cur file and it should be inside the
