Try adding overflow: hidden; into your #about and then add this code under it:
#about:hover{overflow-y: auto; padding-right: 600px;}

For future reference try using this guide. It explains hidden scrollbars a lot better then I ever could.

Like on my profile?

#about {overflow:hidden}
#about:hover {overflow:auto;}

simple. ;]

completely hidden scrollbars are a lot harder.
Kind of an out there question for you, but I want to know if this is possible before I start coding.
I understand how to use hover images, but I was wondering if it was possible to make an image "disappear" when you hover over it.
For example, I'd like a picture of my avatar and when you hover over it, the image vanishes and reveals the avatar itself with all the details beneath and clickable links, ect.
Is there a way to actually do this?

You could also have a transparent blank image if it doesn't work. ;]

Ah, duh. It seems so obvious now that you posted that. Thank you!
Okay this is probably the easiest thing in the world, but I'm still messing around with it. I've read pretty much the whole guide, and I'm toying around with the default gaia image, not the header, but the house. And I'm trying to remove it and put my own image in. Does anyone know how to do this?

i think it's:
#extendedProfileBody #header1 {background-image:url('URLIMAGEHERE');width:###px;height:###px;border:0px;}

i'm not 100% sure, but it should work...i never replaced it myself.

Odd, that's the code I was using before, and for some odd reason, it's not working.
