You may change the background color, and the color of the links for the navigation bar. However, you may not alter the Gaia logo, reposition the navigation bar, or remove the navigation bar all together. Altering the Gaia logo includes removing it all together, as well as making it semi-transparent to the point that it is hard to see or nearly invisible. You may alter the Gaia logo image to remove the black background, or change the black background to a different color, but the logo itself must remain as is.

@ x-Like Danqq- It'd be best to do as trezoid says, and for more about the gaia header bar at top arrow trezoid's gaia header guide. Useful for getting a white version w/ transparency or black version w/ transparency, and on the third post is Cali Soca's upload of the PSD on phailbucket.

As for blinking text, you'd add the property and value text-decoration:blink to the coding. For example-

a:visited{text-decoration:blink;}

This code here would make links I've visited blink. Hope that helps. : )

Yep, Jodez that'd be the right code. You may also want to reaffix the height, width, and move the regular about title text with a negative value, for example-
#about h2{width:160px;height:50px;text-indent:-1000px;}
