It's ok Neko. ^^ I figured out the answer to my problem by doing more prodding and asking someone a quick question about positioning. I think I fixed that problem with my profile, so don't worry about my huge long question. xD

I'll answer anyway.

Relative positioning - it moves sections along with other sections
Absolute positioning - moves by itself and other sections will not be influenced. : )



I hope that explanation was alright. ; O And for your content, just indicate a specific height
to get rid of the white.

To put it in the scrollbox make the height smaller than your content and add the overflow:auto;
attribute.

@Techiy :: Good job! : P For the gray border, it is associated with your #extendedProfileBody thingy... go to the main class post and check it out. In order to get ride of it, you have to state a specific height and width and omit the borders so it would look like this.

#extendedProfileBody #header1 {width:##px;height:##px;border:0px;}

The width and height is based on your background image. : 3

Firstly, I'd like to say that this thread has really helped me understand a few things, and I've started on making a profile. It's been really helpful ;D

Buut, I has a problem. D: I cannot seem to get rid of the house header picture thing in the ExtendedProfileBody, as well as the strange grey line. I tried using your sample layout and there was the same problem O__O You can go to my profile to see what has happened to it, I didn't change any part of the code at all Dx I have everything according to what you said - Classic profile selected & custom theme. Help would be very much appreciated D:

EDIT; oh, and another thing xD I was trying out different margins, and was wondering how to squish the whole content part together, as in make it narrower. O: Is it possible? If so, how? Whenever I change the margins from "auto" to... a number, all the content goes flyyinnng to the side xD Urh. Yes, I'm not sure what's with all these problems D;

To get ride of the gray border, you have to have a specific height and width. Also, you must remove the border.

In the sample theme code, I forgot a semi-colon. Someone approached me earlier about it, but I forgot to do it.


#extendedProfileBody #header h1 {background-image:url('http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm152/visualearner/lolIMGAY.jpg');border-right:none;height:250px;width:760px;}

Add a semi-colon.


Margins are used to "move" content not squish them together. Squishing content only works with the width of a main class. To squish any section, you just have to specify the width to whatever size you want.

I still need to work on a few things..like how do you change the shape of the comment boxes and make the little corners dissapear.I hate the little white triangles coming from the corners when I put a colored background on the comments section.
