What a lot of people have found is that whenever URL's were given they would automatically re-direct to your own profile, not the profile you wished to view. Therefore the tinyurl/snipurl was born.
Maybe it's a bit of a pain, but if you can't be bothered we'll type the code for you. biggrin

I would assume that was because people were using http://www.gaiaonline.com/sunburn/profile.php?view=profile.ShowProfile, thinking that was their URL, when that is just a general URL. That's why &item=USER_ID, is now at the end of everyone's URL. In fact, the ony way to get that other URL is if you manually delete the &item=USER_ID at the end.

Heh, speaking of editing the URL...you know what's fun...viewing the actual page the profile is. It's no profile.php, but actually index.php!

Yup, you can do it that way, but it would make for a lot of confusion (generally) in the whole quilt community, and so the tinyurl is more commonly used. Obviously you can type in whatever code you want, as long as it is your picture in the link and your profile that it links to.

On a different note: Pie32, why haven't you created a 50x50 quilt square yet? hmm? hmm?
