ah, but then it's technically all one image, with text as part of it. I mean how would someone make the actual text inside a section align next to an image.

There is no such thing as too much time (though I'm slightly afraid that Radiocarbon will say 2 years is way too long) and too little is 10 minutes because a) that's really almost no effort and b) there are most commonly copypasta profiles with splatters of animated gifs or tektek ones. : (

How's my guide doing so far in it's progress? (Don't worry, I'll add how to do so in Classic in abit.) Tell me if I've missed anything, etc.

I tend to use on average about 5 or more sections in my profile, if you count custom sections my run down is usually:

about section
comments
Details
Custom sections

I can't stand the journal section, nor the signature section. I also really hate messing with media sections, (cause apparently I forget stuff), and user bar's always just annoy me although I always end up using them.

Question:

Which section do you consider the most crucial component of the profile design/ which section do you design for.

Who would you consider the father of the PD? What about mother, brother, ect.? What would you consider yourself in the "PD Family"

The most crucial section in a profile would have to be the "About Me" section or at least a "Custom section" with some good readable info in it. I personally am putting a lot of emphasis on making a good looking "Comments" section. Just because Comments are the cool. xD

The mother of the P.D would probably be a RadioCarbon hands down.
The father being a tie between KairuByte, Trezoid and Officer Adams (xD Yea you saw that, Officer Adams! I just really love that dude T~T).
Probably Melting Point and/or Swell Sundae for sisters.
Brothers would be Skye River, Miimic, [Tazer the Archangel], (still thinking about more).

(Note that the names above do not reflect who may or may not actually be important to anyone but seem to signify respect to none but myself)
I would count myself as the husband of the great uncle's step-second cousin thrice removed and long lost =P in the P.D

As for my question, what are the pros of a completely flash based profile vs the cons (talking in V2) and what is the method that GaiaOnline doesn't allow for the passage of information on flash media in your profiles (for future reference for me).

And the pros of a completely flashbased profile I think would be that everything seems more userinteractive, and the cons is probably the file size, from what I'm guessing. :$

No idea on that other one.

Preference question: What's worse, a ******** of animated gifs, avatars and useless pictures on a v2 profile or a tektek profile that one asks to be rated for that they didn't make? surprised

I would prefer the tektek. Copypasta drag and drops can take a s**t long time to load, and at least most tekteks look good or at least decent.
