The death of the "profile spotlight" was one of many reasons that made it go that way. I've asked about it in the "Ask the Admin" thread weeks ago. Unfortunately, my question was ignored.

It seems that the admins would rather chat with their fans instead of answer a simple question.

It's a cycle. This actually happens all the time.
True fact: Most of PD regs stopped giving a s**t about profile spotlight a long time before it got stuck. It's kind of just like OH A NEW ONE. ok.
I don't think it played much of a part.

Yeah, I noticed things were different when Panic's profile sat there for a while.

To me, it just seems like they're spreading their staff really thin. It took them that long to take it off the community page.

Well apparently they had to cut some srtaff due to the recession.

However they seem to be focusing on alot of new updates and ignoring everything else. stressed

Skye - If I were you, I'd ask it at the next ATA. If they ignore it, ask it at the next one.
Or get a whole lot of people to ask the same question if they don't answer repeatedly.

It does sadden me that the PD is dead dying.

PDs always been dying for years. It just has bursts of life in the summertime and thats it.

Ive kinda given up on the PD awhile back.

I would say that PD and C&T should totally be swapped, but I have a feeling that the...highly trained bluntness of the C&T regs is much better able to cope with the floods of idiots that comes from being near the top of the forum list...

but yeah, subforums across the site are dying off...

I think the only reason the PD is dying is because the majority of the PD regs have moved on towards other things, college, other design work, ect ect.

But hey it happened before that's how these regs came into being.
So as far as I see it you just got to wait a bit for the new regs to take hold, then the PD will boom on again.

I'm actually really interested in seeing the PD years from now. ninja

and actually things have been going so good, ive actually found some inspiration again. Gonna work on that =D

Definately will be intersting to see the PD in the future. Its got potential. We've got some fine new regs here with good designs to come. : D

College's taking up most of my time so I'm rarely given the opportunity to do some outside projects (which is something I really want to focus more on). But the reason I stopped designing profiles altogether is my inactivity on this site. I don't feel like I should be projecting my skills into something that doesn't interest me like it did a few years back.

Not to mention I'm a pretty lazy person. XD I go to school year round, so whenever a break strikes up I'll mostly be seen recuperating than doing something productive. D8

I have moved on to other things, such as my commission, school and forums.
However, I will be coming back here from time to time to see how the PD is going and the new trends being developed. Since 2005 profiles looked extremely different compared to the profiles now.
