HNNNGH.
I love you.

Used the first code and realigned the columns.

So I was wondering, is jpg faster to upload than png?
Or was my code just so much spaghetti that it slowed down the loading?
Now it's not aligned on my screen. You shouldn't use percentage to position the background images. Because it then is positioned accordingly to the screen resolution. I have a larger screen resolution, thus causing the background images to not be spaced the same.
As for images, JPG is for image compression. However, the image loses quality as you keep re-saving copies of the JPG; i.e. re-save the original image, then re-save a copy of the copy. The quality will keep degrading.

Position it with pixels (px) instead of percentage. BTW. The value 0 does not need any unit of measurement.

Edit: Actually. You should apply that column bar going down the page to the #column_1 element as a background. Not to the entire page.

OOOOH.
That's a good idea.

I shall work on that tomorrow, thank you so much!

Um, I'm wondering how I can align the panel header onto the top of the panel. Let me try to explain right now my panel header is basically the same as everyone else except for the background and all the other good stuff, but I want to make it so it touches the panel top and the corners. I hope that made sense. c___c

.panel {padding: 5px;}

You also have multiple .panel rules. You should only have one so you should combine them. The same with the .panel h2 and h2 rules.

.panel {
margin: 0;
opacity: 0.5; filter:alpha(opacity=50) }

Would the code above me be the same as the one below me? :0
