I like your use of that diagonal pattern. You used it throughout the entire profile but in a way that's not repetitive or over-bearing, which takes some skill. I really like the colors. Honestly, I love the entire profile.
The only thing I'd like to point out is the empty space under the about.
It's not too important since the 'rising sun' thing starts there, which fills it in a little bit, but it still stood out a bit to me.

Not a big fan of the black and white stripy background, media and the multi- colored text in the about section.

Suggestions:
Background: Change it to one color. I think the color, dark grey would suit it. Due to the contrast between the content and the background. That way, the content would be more noticeable.

As for the text, change it to white. So it won't clash with your profile.

You should also do something with your media. It clashes with your profile. Also, its an autoplay media. Which is definitely a pet peeve over here, in the PD.

Overall rate: 6/10
I will probably give you an 8 if you change these.

The background is nice, however the content is definitely lacking on text! The use of red clashes with the header as well. (I suggest you to add more red to the header) However, overall, it is pretty well done.

melusine@: Ahh, I was trying to seperate the sections this time round, since I've been doing columned profiles for quite sometime now. So I didn't want it to look boring. However, I have rounded some of the edges in the link and about section. Hopefully that helps.
