that's a personal opinion, and it meant so people could easily identify other links and wouldn't get quite so lost in the art around it. It's for familiarity and you did the same thing with the "x's". I just have two more than you and they are actually different than the others.

your profile is not exciting coding or graphic-wise. I'm not saying lavish it with more graphics, but maybe do something a little less messy looking. The way the design streams around the sections isn't that well done.
I'ts also lacking color-wise.
the organization isn't bad though.
