Profile background placement [help]

Hello Gaia,

I'm a self taught coder and have been making profiles for a while now.
There's one thing that bothers me though- I've been making profiles again and the background image won't fully show up unless I have content over it [like columns going down far enough]

For example: It cuts off images like this if the content doesn't go down enough


For example, what I use in the code is this:

#columns {background: url(http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii590/Roxoah/firerides_zpsbf5cb220.png~original) left top no-repeat;position: relative; top: -25px; width: 2000px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px;}

html, body {background: #dcd3ce url() repeat left top; margin-right: 60px;}

Place the image onto your html, body rather than #column backgrounds. Putting the code in the columns usually only works if you plan on using a profile that requires a scroll.

However, having it on the body will display the whole background rather than just part of it. You might have to adjust the margins to get it to line correctly with the header tho.
