Your profile page is still a part of Gaia Online, whether you are allowed to customise the page or not. Besides, you're still allowed to customise the vast majority of the page. :3
It's only two bars at the top of the page, so it's not really anything that's going to destable the whole world's gravitational field or anything. xp
