stressed It was just a border?! .... And I went to all that trouble putting in the Chroma filter to get rid of that colour in every section. Damn my stupidity... sweatdrop

But yeah... I checked. The center version works for Internet Explorer .... though I'm running my screen at 1024 x 768. In fact, I'm wondering how my background looks on different resolutions if it even shows up at all.
xd ; Yeah, just a border. I'm running at the same resolution, works in IE, but it doesn't work at ALL in Firefox. sweatdrop It's all skewed way to the right, and it's not even lined up with the banners. I have to figure out what that code actually does so I can see why it's different. neutral

Ah well.... does my profile look all screwy to you in firefox?

Oh.... and just as a sidethought, I'm not sure how applicable it is multi-browser.... but I know something that would probably look pretty good for your profile avatar (and perhaps the avatar at the top):

filter:gray;

I'm playing about with filters at present.... and having the avatars in greyscale just seems much more ... Film Noir ...
Yah I thought that would be a great idea. I was gonna apply it to all the avatars on the page, but those filters only work in IE, so I ditched it. sweatdrop

And yes, it looks screwy. Very screwy. xd ;

I put it in and its not working. Sadly I think im stupid when it comes to this.
Well. Your profile code has a lot of problems. >.> Mind if I rewrite it quickly for you and paste it here?

***EDIT: Oh well you fixed some, so not a lot.

Go ahead. I was never good with coding.

Bah.... stupid ******** firefox. Why not put it in anyway so at least some of us can enjoy the benefits? razz ... I mean, I have quite a few filters in my profile so its automatically going to look less awesome in Firefox and other similarly retarded Nutscrape-based browsers. ^_^

Ok... is there an easy center-method that works in ALL browsers?

Or alternatively, is there an easy way to encourage everyone to use Avant rather than Firefox (because Avant is so much better its not even funny).

#body { color: #ff99ff; }
#content { background: #000 url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v218/eldiablo20xd6/ooa-fire-starter-lg.jpg) fixed no-repeat; color: #ff99ff; }
#profile {background: #003333;}
#profile ul.items li img { background: #000 url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v218/eldiablo20xd6/ooa-fire-starter-lg.jpg) top center no-repeat; }
#profile ul.items li { border: 1px solid #fff;}

And as for not being good at coding, it just takes lots of practice. If you keep working on it you'll be surprised at how much better you can get. 3nodding

Is there a way to get music on it? My friend does and I wanted to put Dracula by Rob Zombie on it.

xd But I LIKE Firefox. And no, there isn't an easy center-method that works in all browsers. As a matter of fact, I think that all yours did was indent it 100px in IE, which I think ignored the auto tags... haven't figured out what Firefox did yet, busy doing other stuff. >.> And sure, I'll put it in. xp

You have to put it in the Multimedia section, and then I think you can add
#multimedia { display: none; }

so that it doesn't show up as a big ugly music embed.

Negatory. I just checked by changing the 100px 'width' attribute to 400px ... and it was exactly the same. In fact... check if it looks any different now to you. I just want to know what kind of effect it has.

[Edit]: And now I've set it to 760px, just out of curiosity.

Alright, so how do I work the music into it? And if I wanted to remove the color in the sidebar to just see the picture, how can I do that. I know this is probly really anoying.

I tried a theme override, and it said I have too many characters.

Hey, it's centered! :O

Win. I've found the universal code then! ^_^

margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; width: 760px;

Check it on yours and see if it works perhaps?

Then you need a theme with less characters. ^^;

@BB: For the colour, just replace #003333 with the word none and for the music, go to the Multimedia section of your Edit Profile page and put the link to the song in there, along with putting the small code piece I last gave you into the theme override.
