I really don't think autoplay is one of those things people dislike because other people dislike it.And nah, I still shouldn't have to expect to hear music when I open someone's profile. If I'm opening a Youtube video, yeah, duh, it's gonna autoplay. But I'm visiting someone's profile for a visual experience and to see their design, not to hear "the music that describes them" But I guess to be honest, I don't care what kind of music people listen to and I've come to find it doesn't describe them past past general stereotypes that are usually broken down once you get to know them better. Also, yeah, I refuse to listen to other peoples music IRL too, because I just don't care. Having autoplay is like HAY I LOVE THIS SONG SO YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO IT TOO *SHOVES IT DOWN YOUR THROAT* instead of making a suggestion that you check out the music they like. So that might be it too. I'm rambling.
But I see it as me being a jackass, personally, because it's like
HEY, I KNOW MOST PEOPLE HATE THIS, BUT I'MA DO IT ANYWAY 8D
And of course if it's a song you like, you don't mind. I've stayed at people's profiles way longer than necessary just to listen to their music, yeah, but I don't see how that changes autoplay from being okay. I can just press play to listen to their music if I like it. But if I go to profile and I can't stand the music they put on there, and I have to take longer than 10 seconds trying to find the stop button...well, ******** that I don't care enough about their profile to be put through that.
What it comes down to is yeah, your profile is about you, but you created it for other people to view. Adding autoplay is making the decision that some people aren't gonna bother with your profile like they would if you didn't have it.
