It's best to make it yourself, since there are a lot more things you can do, but if you want a basic one you could try this.

I've never tried it before, so I don't know how good it is.

Go to My gaia ---> Account ---> Theme ---> Theme Override (thats if you want an old school profile)

Wow thats weird, I was looking for a new profile theme and I clicked one called Candylicious!, and I looked down and saw your name xD

How long it takes? Well it really depends on how much css you know
to start with and how many changes it is you are planning on doing to the profile. sweatdrop
When I first started making profiles I could fiddle with the code to get it
to work for a long time. Nowadays I have codes Iknow work that I use.
But it can still take a lot of time if I decide to come up with something new.

Friends in common only shows up for those who
view your profile and have friends in common with you.
So you cant really see it, you dont have any friends
in common with yourself... right... whee
The section is automatically there unless you add a code
that makes it go away. Thats for old school profiles anyway.
Im not sure about v2-profiles.

This is a really good set of guidelines. There are so many guides out there but there aren't really ones that help with the creative process. I also like how you express the importance of it being "user-friendly", because that's always really important (especially with auto-start music).
