On March 2012, WWE '13 was officially confirmed to be in development. That same month, it was also confirmed that Jim Ross would be on commentary for the game alongside Jerry Lawler, replacing Michael Cole. In February, WWE road agent Road Dogg confirmed that he will be featured in the game with former tag partner, Billy Gunn.Former WWE superstar X-Pac announced on his Twitter account that he wanted to be in the game, where he later confirmed he had been approached by THQ themselves.It has been hinted that the game might be focused on the Attitude Era. Diamond Dallas Page has also been confirmed to be apart of the game. At the 2012 Superstar WrestleMania Challenge, Cory Ledesma, the Creative Director for WWE Games at THQ, confirmed that Road To WrestleMania mode would be replaced for Story mode, that six Divas will be able to compete in the ring at a time and that backstage brawls will be less prevalent in Story Mode than the previous years release. In April, Ledesma reconfirmed the previous announcement, as well as confirming that the PS3 version of the game will feature 64 layers in Create-A-Superstar mode after holding a contest to fans.

agreed, I'm not totally buying THQ making a game based on an era that died about 5 years or so ago. I do like the fact that you can have more than four Divas in a match and that Story mode will be in (although I'd just want Season mode like in any other sports game). I hope they give 360 users as much customization as they're giving PS3 users.

Also, this attitude era thing really is a huge draw back to me.

Why? Why should I have to play a game called WWE 13[2013] and get sent back all those years. If I wanted Attitude Era, I would play Smackdown! HCTP. Why not just make a game dedicated to the past events.

I want a CM Punk story mode. He's proven alot. He deserves it. I don't want to walk around as Triple H, or Stone Cold to play back events that happened YEARS ago.

I don't want more legends either. I want CURRENT superstars. I'd rather have jobbers, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, The Great Khali if he counts. I want more attires for the current superstars then the legends. I don't want anything taken away from last time either!

I could care less, either way. He's never been anyone worth noticing, anyway. He's just always been the guy to latch onto someone else, and pretend he's someone relevant. I honestly can't remember the last time he did something worth noting.

Why not Booker T? That'd be hilarious. But no, Jim Ross. Whatever. Can they just not call this game WWE 13 and seriously just call it WWE AE. That's all this game is obviously going to be about.

That's Ring of Honor. Surprisingly few people watch it. Notably due to the lack of TV coverage, but still. Doing something "******** amazing" in Ring of Honor, is still worth next to nothing, to the general bulk of wrestling fans.

So that still leaves him with next to nothing of substance, to his credit.

In short, he thinks he's a lot more famous and valuable, than he honestly is. What fame he DOES have to the general bulk of wrestling fans, is from shamelessly whoring himself out to whatever faction was going strong, at the time. And ******** a woman who's essentially a man.

They DID let him. Lead up to Wrestlemania 27. He dropped it so many times, it just rolled away from him.

Genuinely neutral Cole (pre-NXT) was very good. I had no problems with him, and I don't think many people honestly did. But once they "gave him the ball", and gave him a heel push...he just turned into an annoying little troll. He tries too hard, and needs to just go back to neutrality, because he can't sell a heel gimmick, any better than Rosie O'Donnell can sell a weight loss program.
