Then by that logic, every single movie or TV show that isn't a biography or documentary is also fake.

That's exactly true...in fact, a lot of "biographies" and "documentaries" are less than real (for example, Loose Change) as they're mostly told from perspective of the guys reporting who want you to feel certain ways about certain things...that's also the biggest problem with the news channels and reality television.

But yeah, I don't understand the hypocrisy behind people judging wrestling and its fans either.

The only real wrestling their is Japan Wrestling (only good thing to watch from Japan was Cactus Jack vs. Terry Funk classic match) and IPW, and CZW, and of course the old 1990's ECW and probably few others but those are the one's I'm familiar with. But WWE and TNA are indeed fake

Sometimes matches don't go as planned. You have the obvious cases of serious injuries(like Sid Vicious' leg almost being torn right off), but I mean more one of the wrestlers or the ref being confused on how it will turn out. CM Punk has shooted in online interviews that he doesn't do much pre match walkthroughs or choreographing. That's about as catch-as-catch-can as you'll get these days.

In Japan the style has long been called "Puroresu", where a lot is done to keep the illusion that it's a real fight. In some cases these matches go to far, such as when Stan Hansen severely broke Vader's nose and face, and literally knocked his eye ball out of his head in 1990. Though I imagine, the outcomes are still predetermined.

I often thought what would happen if you didn't have a predetermined outcome. You might end up with really sloppy spots, and just kind of half hearted endings...or it'd boil into MMA style.

But the scripted thing is a misnomer, as often times the flow and move x move basis is not scripted or choreographed.

Then there is crazy guys like New Jack, who have legitimately tried several to severely maim and kill opponents in the ring. I'm actually surprised more people havent died from wrestling matches.

And I agree that it's bullshit that people don't call out movie stars, or magicians, and tell the world "WHAT YOU DO IS FAKE! IT'S SO STUPID!!" like they do for wrestling.

Wrestling is scripted and chorographed...its basically acting with a few bumps along then way
