Evil Penguin Overlord
I really liked WCW, but since that's gone, my current favorite is TNA (It's amusing, and I actually find the matches entertaining).

* claps* well said so little ompanies that actually are sport entertainment with out going all soap box on you!. a little drama a little showing off and a lot of class action... not, a lot of drama a fair bit of showing off and out dated predictable action and storylines...

for instance who would win between khali and show... who cares why not be a tag,,, oh wait they did that oh and they won.. and oh no!!! new comers who take titles from nowhere.

id rather see... sucicide taking on cristopher "daniels" why... just cos... then throw in aj for a little mix p and cue samoa jo who beats all of em and next week a little bit of agroo and a match from one of the 3 and some other storylines all at the same time that are not just about whos got the best body or who can pop the most steroids!..

i am a major wrestling fan! and have been inside a ring as a jobber for an underground company. that went bust lol..
so i get the whole thing but wwe is not wrestling its just glorified stunt work with a bit of wrestling laced in... why eles are all the fairly good talents hopping ship to TNA... sure tna dont deliver as well as wwe but tna know its not about the showing off but about the show

i used to love ecw untill wwe vitrually turned it into the biggest joke in the world.

CZWis a undercut version of ecw and does so much more

and please look into fullmetal wrestling. FMW. i saw a 2 sided barbedwire death match... ( two sides were replaced with bw fencing and the other two were left open... the ring was raised up by half a foot and the bare sides had a pit of barbed wire and broken glass loom benath it...
but this is the shocking thing they even set crackerjacks and electric current on the wires) ... sound good right! but insted of two mental men fighting for life and limb.. they placed two top japanese female wrestlers into it... and my god they went all out like the sandman vs dreamer vs sabu in a who can bleed the most contest!

oh yer my fave promo... HARDCORE HOMECOMING and TNA... i also like my own "company" ( basically me and a few frieinds) who wrestle in the confines of my flat in the bedroom... hoping to take it outside one day... called RWF ( Renagade wrestling federation) i am aware there are a few rwf companys out there that offer better matches,,, and more talent. but i cant think of a better name... i might call it BWR brotherhood wrestling Rebels or spmething lol...
WWE Is My Fav
But I Stay Loyal To The Smackdown Brand

mrgreen

Tna Is OK but its still Not better
BJW is my favorite promotion overall. They manage to do the deathmatch style perfectly. The company manages to run a deathmatch every week and their brand of the deathmatch is one that doesn't result in shortened careers for the most part (Ryuji Yamakawa being that "most part" considering his career was snubbed on a botch). Along with DDT it's up there with the most consistent promotions and better booked...the only booking gripe that usually comes out of BJW is Ryuji Ito always finding his way to the belt and Jun Kasai still not getting it (due to joining Zero-One in the wake of the BJW-CZW feud of fail).

NJPW is my second favorite. Of the big promotions in Japan it's pretty much the best (best operated, better booked, best pubilicity, etc). They've focused on their generation talent, working on the next one after this one (which will be active for awhile), and their two main tournament are two of the best in wrestling if not the best. I've tried to follow NOAH, but the company as a whole comes off as boring. It's not even down to the matches (as they have a very talented roster), but the fact that unlike NJPW, Dragon Gate, and even post-split AJPW they tend to have very little attention worthy news coming out of it.

The currently lucha scene as a whole is very good. AAA is the more accessible and easier to get into since Sin Limite is really booked in an American wrestling manner where stories are actually presented within TV time and not just via press and what might as well be house shows. They're generally very exciting, but at times the matches leave something to be desired. Pimpinela and his heavy involvement in storylines in AAA have been one of three reasons I sit through all the commercials (El Mesias and the Parkas Feud being the others). CMLL is great for the actual wrestling action as is IWRG. Really the brawling bedlam of some IWRG matches is just cool. The simplest match can spill into a brawl. The only problem is their presentation--you tend to get the announcers' names via the name graphics (which I can honestly care less about) but not the luchadors. So if you don't have a match listing or you're not familiar with some of the local talent they use, you have to listen closely to commentary.

US wrestling...mainly TNA Wrestling. I watch TNA because I prefer their roster over the WWE brands and I want to see them attempt to succeed instead of constantly tripping or stepping back and ruining momentum the company had and some wrestlers had (case being AJ Styles dropping the belt to RVD after a good match vs. Dinero at LockDown...one of two good to awesome range matches on the PPV). WWE I catch on sometimes. You know the World Title will be traded amongst a particular group most of the time or that on SmackDown! Undertaker will find his way to the belt despite only being present 5 to 6 months of the year. Sometimes you get an unexpect reign (just for spice) like Rey winning his second World Title, but for the most part it's a product you either dislike, love, or you're complacent with. I'm in the third group.

I have quite a few:

American: ROH
German: WXW
English: 1PW or FWA
Scottish: PBW
Irish: IWW
Danish: DPW
Japanese: FMW

My overall favourite though is PBW!
WWE! I stick to the RAW brand though mainly.

Chikara and ROH were my favorites. Great entertaining matches.

CZW was cool once upon a time, but I preferred the original ECW.
I'm a fan of all professional wrestling.

That being said, my favorite promotion of all time would have to be IXWF (Island Extreme Wrestling Federation. It was another name for NWA-Hawaii) and it's sister promotion Hawaii Pro Wrestling. Unfortunately, both are now defunct. sad
I only watch WWE. I have tried to get into TNA, but it just feels like I'm watching a bad episode of Nitro. While WWE isn't as good these days as it has been in the past, at least the production values make me feel like I'm still watching something similar. While a lot of the PG era is lacking or takes away from what we're used to, TNA is proof that being controversial doesn't necessarily make the product better.
