The WWE is pushing Orton waayyyyyy too fast... he's already in a position that someone like Beniot had to work 18 years to get, and last time I check, that was a -bad- thing. After he gets the belt again... then what? What else is LEFT for him other than to become a mediocre wrestler like Brock Lesnar?
WWE pushes the young talent too fast to the point it will eventually ruin them... As for Orton himself... he's alright, but nothing really 'special' yet. Then again I've been watching since 1997, so... I've seen a lot and it takes a lot to impress me. |

yah they are pushing randy orton a bit too fast... but the way i see it, he still has more potential than smackdowns! cena.. but thats my opinion, not to discriminate any cena fan girls-boys..
doin sumthin like they did wif brock lesnar isnt all too bad, at the same time.. orton has more skill on the mic rather than lesnar.. |

But Brock Lesnar is a prime example of why you shouldn't push young and fairly new to the game stars so fast. They can only go so far... then flop like a fish. Brock isn't THERE anymore, now IS he? A year ago, he used to be a big thing (The Next Big Thing, remember?), but where is he now? He won the belt so many times that there was literally NOTHING else for him to do. Wasted careers, and they're only in their 20's! Rey Mysterio Jr. is in his 30's, has 15 years steadily behind his back, but he has yet to hold the heavyweight gold (granted the guy is a bit SHORT for the matter, but he would deserve more so than these upcoming n00bs that have gained Vince's favor some way). Randy Orton will get the gold, but then what? After you get the gold so many times, there's only a few ways you can still PUSH someone. Randy's too young and is going to be wasted before he's even 30... and what makes me sick is that people like him, the upcoming n00bs, will always hold the belt more so than the more deserving ones that have been in the business for much longer times, like Booker T., Eddie Guerrero (he so deserves another title run, dammit), Chris Beniot, Jericho, CHRISTIAN even. Those people seem more deserving to be in the title scene than people like Randy Orton and John Cena (though at least John Cena has a gimmick). |

Those people seem more deserving to be in the title scene than people like Randy Orton and John Cena (though at least John Cena has a gimmick). yes indeed that rushed brock lesnar like crazy.. but look at the competition he had while he was somewhat a noob in the wwe.. the hardys' just got dominated by him.. in a sense.. austin left and wwe had a panic attack and put brock lesnar into play.. with orton.. yah their rushing him.. they couldve just let his I.C feud with shelton benjiman go on a little longer.. or many other people who are in the I.C calibur. if his I.C thingi had lasted for 2-3 years then that isnt rushing him.. it seems most champions have had a steady rise in the ranks.. guys like brock lesnar and randy orton only managed to do it in a year or 2. john cena having a gimmick.. its a gimmick that i hate, but hey, it sells to the fans out there craving for a vanilla ice comeback.. if he was heel, id have no problem with his character, but because his sellin for wwe and smackdown!, his still there. overall.. orton is being pushed way to the top too quickly.. whereas cena.. is still in contendership, only for the u.s title.. which is a wiser move. im still a orton fan.. for now |

wow its good to see such a good conversation reguarding Randy Orton, but i will rememin a Orton fan but i beleive that a world title run isnt the best thing for him right now, but ultimatly the WWE and Vince have the final word, and hopefullyhe doesnt end up like Brock Lesner.

No one wants to buy another ppv with a HHH/Shawn Micheal match. By pushing Randy Orton up to the top it creates fresh matches that have not be done before.
There is also the fact that HHH has destoryed amost all the credible main eventer. They need some one to plug into a fued with HHH. They can not do that with Kane or Chris Jericho. HHH effectly neutred them with both of there main event run. For cripes sake Chris was cleaning up after his dogs droppings. Is that the way you treat you first Undisputed Champion? |

I agree with you some what... how couldn't you, you're always right... but I disagree with the HHH/HBK comment. People, I think, do want to see this. And I think that is what they should do with HHH, have him drop the title and just fued with HBK. People do want to see this, just look at the Taboo Tuesday results. ANyways back on the topic of Orton. I hate this guy, I was one of the few people I think who actually liked him pre-RNN (shoulder injury). I also enjoyed his RNN segments but I just lost interest when he joined Evolution, but I must say I liked what they did with his first title run. I must say I'm not really a fan of short title reigns and stuff but I enjoyed how quickly they gave it to him and how quickly they snatched it away. Him being champion really doesn't stand out in my mind to me, what does stand out though is that he was kicked from evolution and kind of gave him that little nudge his own way. Do I think Randy deserves the title? No. Will Randy regain the title soon? I'm betting at WM XXI (yes I still use roman numerals even though WWE dropped them). Will I ever think Randy Orton will deserve the title (Sorry bad grammer...)? Yes. They should give him a Shawn Micheals/HHH kind of build. Keep him in the IC ranks. That's how the best WWE entertainers/wrestlers got there, Bret Hart, HBK, HHH, Austin, The Rock, Chris Benoit ect. |
