Professional Wrestling Subforum Rules and Guidelines

Welcome to the Professional Wrestling (PW) subforum. This subforum is to talk about your favourite wrestlers, ongoing wrestling plots and current happenings.


There are a few commonly misplaced threads listed below and the more appropriate forum to place them in:

• Role playing - Those who wish to play as their favourite characters can do so in Barton Town.
  
• Low discussion threads - want to post something, but it's not good discussion material? Post to your hearts content in the Chatterbox
  
• Want to just chat with other fans? Hang out, or friends threads should go in the Friends Chat subforum.

Posting Guidelines

• Abusive / Flaming / Trolling
  Wresting is a pretty heated sport - name calling, caged matches and inventive uses of chair, ladders and tables. Unfortunately, none of that is welcomed in this subforum, or anywhere else on GaiaOnline. Being abusive towards other Gaians, flaming other Gaian opinions and posting to incite angry responses from other Gaians will result in your post being removed and possibly a warning being placed upon your account. If you're not aware, flaming and trolling is against Gaia Online's Terms of Service and Rules & Guidelines.
  
  
• Anti/Hate Threads
  We understand that certain wrestlers, promotions and shows will get under your skin, but please do not make threads stating your distaste. These types of threads are not allowed in the Professional Wrestling subforum. These topics encourage both flaming and trolling, and do not foster any discussion. Posting a hate thread will have your thread removed and you may receive a warning on your account.
  
  
• Roleplaying/RP threads
  Gaia has a forum designed for holding wrestling roleplays, the Barton Town Series Related/Miscellaneous Role Play Forum. Please put all roleplay oriented threads in that forum, or in guilds. Any topics or posts that are considered roleplaying in Pro Wrestling will be removed, and you may receive a warning on your account.
  
  
• Repeat Threads
  Wrestling is hugely popular sport, and there will be many fans of the same entertainer. With this, we ask that if there is already a current thread on page one of the forum, you post in that, instead of making your own. Repeat threads may be reported and moved to the Recycle Bin, and if you create multiple threads, you may receive a spam warning on your account.
  
  
• Low Content
  Low content threads, or threads that do not generate discussion are reportable and may be moved to the Chatterbox. Continuously posting low content, or spam posts, may result in a warning.
  
  
• Spoilers
  Please do not post spoilers - outcomes on upcoming matches, hot off the press releases and information - in thread titles. ( You'll want to follow this example: "Results for Friday's Smackdown: Spoilers" ). In your post, please use the spoiler tags here:

Okay, sure, but what can I post?

Wrestling has such a huge fan following so there are lots of topics you can post about. Here are some suggestions:

• Current plots and where you believe the plot is going
  
• Current character developments, who is siding with who and what you think about it
  
• Up coming matches and who you think will win
  
• Comparisons of wrestlers and their styles
  
• Projects involving pro wrestlers and former pro wrestlers (books, video games, movies etc.)

How to Report

Abuse of the report system will result in a warning or ban of your account.

Report a Post

Use the button when an individual post in a topic contains inappropriate content.

Reasons to Report a Post:

Report Hacking, Scamming or Abuse & Harassment?

The Hacking, Scamming and Abuse or Harassment report forms can be found at the bottom of the forum index. When submitting a report, ensure that you fill out all fields and include as much relevant information as possible.

Report A Hacking
Use this form to report a Hacking. Hacking, on Gaia Online, refers to the unauthorized access of an account by someone other than the account owner. In most typical hacking cases, an unauthorized person enters an account which does not belong to him or her and takes items or gold from the account, often changing the account information so that the original owner can no longer access his or her account.

Report A Scamming
Use this form to report a Scamming. Scamming is when another member of Gaia takes your gold or items, or tries to take your gold or items, by making false promises of giving you rare items, get-rich-quick schemes, or by any other deceptive means. Scamming generally involves a situation in which two members of Gaia make an arrangement to trade gold, items, or a Gaia approved service (e.g. avatar art commission) with each other and then one of the parties involved in the arrangement fails to live up to his or her promise of an exchange.

Report Abuse or Harassment
Use this form to report ongoing Abuse or Harassment. If you are reporting harassment or abuse that is occurring directly in a thread, please use the "Report This Post" button instead.
