Michael Cole's commentary (1/30/12)

It's like Michael Cole discovered a time machine and brought his 99 - 08 commentary skills. Especially during the Daniel Bryan vs. Cm Punk match last night. In my opinion he delivered solid play-by-play. Accompanied by compliments for both guys. I'm not asking you guys to go back and re-watch the whole Raw show, but just the DB/Punk match. Juts this time listen to it with the volume on instead of mute.

On a related note, Michael Cole is complimenting Daniel Bryan. So in my opinion Daniel Bryan is officially a heel now.

Michael Cole has never been the problem with WWE commentary. It's Lawler. He's so uninspired and drags Raw down.

I honestly don't like either Lawler or Cole.

Lawler's always defending the faces like a goddamn-awful mark, and even though that's basically his job now on the commentary table, Cole always gets at him with, uh, logic. And because of that, apart from the fact that I don't think his commentary in general is exciting, he looks stupid.

Cole... I just find him annoying. I liked him in the beginning of his heel turn. But after a month or two even I was re-repelled.

Cole is a weasel. His heel turn would be more interesting if he didn't support all the Dark horses and criticized all the faces. Thats way too predictable, just like Lawler. The only one that does his job down the middle is Booker on Smackdown! ... well until he got involved with Cody, but I believe that was more of a way to include Golddust for a family feud of some sort but it got swept under the carpet for the moment. Booker makes me mad sometimes because he wont stand firm hating someone.

Anyway, this is about Cole and like I said. Cole is a weasel and is kind of boring. WWE tried to play him off as an amusing Heel, but he's very annoying IMO.

I find that Michael Cole does call the matches quite well, if you just ignore him when he talks bout how great Miz is or putting down the faces.

I am disappointed with all the Lawler Hate...

Lawler has never changed. His Commentary is stupid, but he is the new JR untill Michael Cole ever gets a "Face" push as commentary, and I doubt it will ever happen.

Lawler is great, but he has had s**t to work with lately. He has been pushed as the "Super Face" Commentator...I love his shots at Cole. 3nodding

We need Tazz and CM Punk to Commentate...those two could go back to back on stuff.

The reason for Lawler's lack of good commentary is that he doesn't find it interesting anymore. He's even stated that the only reason he's still doing it is because Vince keeps paying him. I say bring the entire smackdown team over to Raw to do the commentary. Because Cole & Booker going at each other while Josh tries to actually commentate is a good formula.

I liked it better when Ross and Lawler were doing the commenting. Cole should stick with the wrestler interviews. That and he should never (... and I mean NEVER !!! ) bother to wrestle in the ring again.
