Didn't really have that many regulars v.v And the whole new-thread I made got taken down when I got warned. So, no, not really.

It's hard to keep track of peoples sometimes. If you has B/C questions, I can try to help. But I can only say what I'd do, I'm not that knowledgeable myself. I just like coloring stuffs and RPing XD

Ah D: I see.

That's true.. XD haha.

Well, mostly I'm just curious about how many people actually know what Vocaloid is, how well this shop might be received, and just.. I guess, general preference.

Has there been a shop done like this or similar before?

And which do people prefer/what's most widely done? Main distribution by flatsales, auctions, or games?

Since these are unique line pets, I don't know if I want to do a lot of flatsales. T__T;;

Well... I've never heard of Vocaloid before but it looked interesting so I came to see... And my pets aren't really 'unique' lines, people can chose from a variety of poses, but they're all templated and stuff already. I just recently started stalking another shop that does do unique lines, and they had a flatsale. But the flatsale required an RP prompt reply to be sent to the mule, and then the winner of the prompt was permitted to buy the FS pet. So it wasn't really a flatsale exactly, but it kinda was? I personally prefer flatsales, since auctions often skyrocket so fast it's nearly impossible for most people to get the pet they want. And games would be fun, but a little rough because usually my experience is that they're free...

I think the RP prompted flat-sale is a good idea though. Maybe you should try that? And don't make a bazzillion pets for it, just to two to four or something.

I've never seen a shop about music that turns into people. I know there's a shop somewhere that has animal-things with Ipods, I never managed to find it, but what you have doesn't look like the same thing at all.

Oh, I see~

That's too bad.. XD Vocaloids are voice synthesizers, so basically they're really just programs with character designs. In this instance, though, I took it further and they're basically robots or a 'living' MP3 player.

I see. I've heard of the prompt flatsales before, and I do have that mentioned somewhere, But those would be for RP required vocaloids. I actually planned initially to have two different prices, higher for non-RP, and lower for RP.

Oh.. Hm, that's good I suppose. I was in a shop just recently opened called Musicology, but that's not so much robots as music scores coming to life and turning into humans. I believe the shop you're talking about it called Audio Rhetoric? :'D

And there's one with the Zune, if I remember...~

Ohhhh. Hmm. Then, I'm not sure. I guess the prompted flatsales would work OK for the roleplayed ones. Dunno, maybe non-roleplayed pets could be auctioned then? Since you're not going to get as much feedback from your effort if they don't stay, it would make sense for those ones to cost more. Or, well, it makes sense to me. And that way, the roleplayed pets would be released with at least one other person who would be available to play with their character, and probably just as eager to do so.

I think it was Audio Rhetoric now that you mention it. I hadn't heard of the other ones though. Vocaloids sound cool~ I need to go look them up I think.

Hi Myst.

Zephi - Oh.. That happened to me a few times, but I was the part time artist so I felt really bad. Especially when we've already taken customs and the prices weren't cheap either. e___e

If I remember who they were, I'd definitely try to compensate them again if my shop takes off.

Though you couldn't just relocate the shop to a new thread that you can update? o wo

Yeah...~ I actually prefer to just handle all the art and graphics though. I get really picky about certain things and it's hard to please me. Orz Actually, even my own art gets on my nerves and I feel bad.
Yo Luka. 83

lol I know the feeling about wanting to handle everything yourself and being picky. XD;;

I don't think there has been a music robot or vocaloid shop I've seen around Gaia's B/Cs.

There are music scores and mp3 players going humanoid though.
First thing you'd want to do to get people here is advertise. I have a few friends who know vocaloid who I can drop hints to and my sister might pop in this I/T at one point.

Prompted flatsales would work for either rp-req or non-rp. Since in either you'd have to get their personality down somehow even if they weren't required to rp, unless you just plan on dealing out sig candy

Ooooh. Something fun.
You could do huge RP events.
With singing try outs, concerts, recruiters, and all the jazz of the music world.

I apologize for bursting in here in at random. Couldn't resist posting >.>
But I will stalk and apply, this looks fun.

Sorry for disappearing suddenly, guys. I went downstairs to get some food and my cousin ended up making me watch Ponyo. XD It's so cute.

Kurluu - Thank you so much for your response!

Actually, that's a REALLY good idea, the concert/tryouts will definitely be used at some point for an RP based flatsale, if you don't mind me using it? :'D I'll be sure to credit you.

Hahah, yep. I know how important it is to advertise, but I lurk more than post. Which is why I have to hire an advertising/manager to help me out. > w<

Myst - Ick~ D:

Zephi
- Oh.. Hm, what you say is true too. D: Well, I don't want to make it all RP based for flatsale because flatsales will usually be plainer than auctions. Plus modules are a form of customization, but not as nice as auctions.

I think I'll think on it a bit XD Seems like a lot of stuff is just up in the air for me. T__T

Being spontaneous can be a good thing though! Like, well, I guess it doesn't apply as much, but I usually make the pets first, and then, looking at how they turned out, decide from that what kind of sale I want to do. It also helps to analyze how the shop has been doing. If your raffles never seem to sell tickets, but people are always entering like crazy for a flatsale you might consider doing more flatsales and cutting back on raffles. If that makes sense.

As for the advertising thing, the concept is pretty much totally different, but I do get the occasional roleplayer through my shop. I'd be happy to affiliate heart

Making an advertising contest, with some kind of prize, is also a good way to get people to help spread the word. Having something in it for them adds motivation. Dunno what to suggest for a 'prize' though. But it's an idea.

WO b/c | Pack RP/Personality Contest

Added an advertising contest. First time I did it, so I don't know if that's fair. :'D;;

Oh man xD Haha, I just did the ad contest before I read your post. I was debating on it, but I wasn't sure whether I can handle the extra work so soon.

But oh well, we'll see now. XD

Hm.. I'd make the pets first, but that's hard to do when these guys are pretty much customizable if the owner is willing to wait for it. XD I might be doing a lot of events to hand out modules, but I'm not sure how often I should make them. I suppose I'll just have to see what's more in demand and what's less so.~

Thank you for the advice. > w<

I'd love to affiliate~ <3 Do you have a link? :'D

Hrm, this shop reminds me a lot of that other song b/c thread floating around in this forum.. o3o *was the first thing thought of*

Hello...~

Musicology? I work[ed] for it. o wo

Ah yeah, Musicology~

Oh, yeah. XD but I think in general it's a little different.

Though music scores and demo CDs are the same...-ish. Orz I dunno about that.

I should probably ask Lolly about it sometime.

Perhaps you should try changing it up a bit? 3nodding I changed my B/C idea too when I realised that I was kind of copying the shop I idolized with the vials and stuff /orz
