Strengths: I like to think of myself as being pretty versatile, I role play a lot, and I write on my own too. I do, however, have an odd preference for playing a male character rather than a female. I like developing a character through the roleplay, which I personally do take as a strength because it lets their personality grow rather than being static or random. That doesn't mean they'll deviate or change completely (save some very special cases where it was planned) it just means development is half the fun =D Weaknesses: Well. I'm not particularly fond of playing females, but I am plenty capable of doing sotho. I also have some trouble being mean. I don't make a good bully for very long, because I wind up feeling guilty. That's not to say I can't be a jerk, I just need to have some in-character reason to. Also not very good at being perverted. I tend to miss a lot of the 'that's what she said' kinda stuff in real life, and it does show a bit in my writing. That's not to say all my characters will be oblivious, it just means that they might not be particularly overt about it. Hours on Gaia: Erm. At least a couple a day, though I tend to linger for a lot longer than I originally intend to. With the exception of Tuesdays. Tuesdays are my massive HUGE class day plus I'm running a Dungeons and Dragons campaign afterwards. I won't be home until well after midnight... might still sneak on for a bit but I'll be tired and you'll be able to tell. Timezone: Eastern? Like...New England (East coast USA) area timezone, if that's the wrong one. I do tend to be on late and stay up late, rather than be on early. Roleplay samples: LOADS. I recommend 'Vampigues and Slayuets', or 'The Wold is a Mess and I Just Need to Rule It' since those are slightly more recent and don't involve backstory from previous roleplays. If you wanna look at more stuff, just click 'waiting rps' and a nice long list will drop down for ya. I'm zephira on there as well, and my partner doesn't mind my sharing. (We're not, however, looking for more players, we like our one-on-ones of random) Character: Oh dear. It's hard to pick one... WELL. I want to play a guy, so I'll start with that. And... and there are two personalities I've been toying with lately that don't belong to a character yet. So... I'll put both. And then depending on my partner, (or your preference I guess) pick one later. Leaning slightly towards one at the moment. 1. Confident. He is 'the best', and boy does he know it. And you know what? Everyone else knows it too! Or, if they are one of the poor deprived few, they will learn soon. Being the center of attention, at pretty much all times, is an absolute must. If someone isn't paying attention, he will not be subtle in his attempts to regain their focus. Flashy, even with his attire, sometimes very in-your-face, with a tendency to be a bit too loud. He can be a real crowd-pleaser though, and definitely isn't a dull person to be around. He's more than happy to flash a few 'magic' tricks, tell some pretty awful jokes, or attempt a sing-a-long whenever there is a break in activity, he doesn't like being bored. Though, if someone were to consistently ignore him, it would definitely bother him more than he'd let on, and would probably grow and grow and grow until he just couldn't take it anymore. Open about being excited or angry, and with a bit of a tendency to whine and what seems to be an inability to take anything seriously, if there is a genuine personal issue he's more likely to keep it to himself than admit that he's been deeply upset about anything. 2. Gifted, but reclusive and shy. He's afraid to take the stage, but not willing to let anyone down either. He likes to disappear in the crowd, but prefers to not be anywhere near a crowd at all. Best with one-on-one conversations, if he needs to talk in front of more than five people he's likely to start stuttering. He's very good at being inconspicuous, and is a good listener if you need someone to talk to that won't go and share your problem with everyone-and-his-pet-poodle. He seems to know more about most people than they realize, since it's easy to overlook the fact that he's right there, but he'd never use any of it to blackmail someone. He hates conflict, and is very slow to voice any disagreements, making him quite easy to push around. He never complains or expresses that he's unhappy or upset. Sooner or later though, there'll be trouble. He's bound to snap eventually... |
