The bestest colors of the lolly world. Lick and enjoy slowly~ Strengths: character : I am good at playing happy, cheerful characters, or more reserved ones, as well as jackasses. XD; I don't really like doing the latter much, though I have been told I am good at them... I also excel at emotional characters and scenes, or at least I have been told so. tester : I have been in breedables since 2003. I've had multiple roleplay pets since 2004. I know how these things go and what to look for in term of fun, as well as to try and figure out what kind of rp requirements might be fair (if you intent on setting a monthly requirement at all, of course). I have only discovered Vocaloid recently, but I pretty much still breathe and eat it. Im not going to become disinterested in the concept anytime soon and you can expect me to stick along for as long as the shop will exist, barring rl snafu. I am an honest and mostly mature person and am able to voice my points without seeming like I am trying to shove them though your throat. I am rather dedicated to my characters, and some of them I have been actively rping for almost 5 years. Weaknesses: Character : I suck at the truly evil types, or true jackasses with nothing redeeming about them at all. Ill constantly try to find something redeeming about them, and pretty much break the character in the process. Anything beyond those two ill'd be willing to at least try at the best of my abilities. Tester : English is not my first language. As such my grammar is sometimes incorrect, but I try my best to be understandable and correct errors if they are pointed out to me. Most people do not notice I am not a native speaker until I point it out, so I guess I am doing a good job ? XD; I can be a little impatient with truly stupid people (I mean like WHUT IS VOCALOID LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I TYPE IN CAPS I IZ AWESOME KISS MY a** NAO GAIS) and can get snippy a little easily if presented with one. Thankfully these seems few and far in between in the shops I frequent. I get sad easily if a plot I was looking forward to write ends up not happening / derailing too much from what I've planned (there's always a lot of leeway, of course). I don't have alot of confidence in my writing, mostly because I am not a native speaker, though most people tell me I do fine. Hours on Gaia: This varies depending on my shifts - my schedules are never truly stable and tend to vary greatly from week to week. I am on gaia every day, though, often for quite a few hours a day. 3 at the very least, unless I have double shifts + housework to do. If I am not on gaia, ill likely be on aim. Unless im working or sleeping. Timezone: EST Roleplay samples: Oh boy, okay : This is a good example of actual roleplay This has me juggling different characters at the same time. It's solotimes ! Her recent pages have quite a few, as I had a bit of a story arc with her. (if you leaf though the journals, please don't give much relevance to the first few pages. It's circa 2005 terribad. XD) Character: I was thinking about a little raver/dj girl, with all that it implies. She would do mostly techno and trance songs and her 'instrument' would be a turntable. She would also dress the part, with black and crazybrightcolors and dreads falls. She would be a fun loving and friendly girl, outgoing and very vocal, though a little selfish and bratty, prone to pouting a lot when she doesn't get what she wants, and a bit of a flirt with all those pretty, pretty boys as well, though if she ever settle with one, she'll likely be there forever, though thick and thin. Hmm. She loves nothing more than to make people dance and have a good time, and the feeling she gets when they start to sing along with her. The more people singing, vocaloid or otherwise, the better ! Music and song is litterally her life... Though that could be said of most of them. From cute, cuddly, and bubbly to angry, malicious and evil. I prefer the cocky, confident character myself, but I adapt depending on the characters that I'm RPing with. I also have a thing with developing characters quickly, so that I can get used to how they are as if they were a real person...which sounds weird, but I like to think of the characters I create as people when it comes to RPing them. xD;;; Weaknesses: Overly cutesy characters. Or emo ones. Drama is fun but not all the time. Hours on Gaia: I'm usually on gaia/the internet all day. On a bad internet day--no less than five or six hours. Timezone: Mountain time. Let's sing a song Birds of a Feather Protecting the innocent That has three separate characters of mine, all from the same shop. All different personalities though. 'Let's sing a song' is about my musical character, actually. xD It's Karaoke. Character: To put it briefly, I plan to make the vocaloid to be...different. They seem to be made for music, for singing, and though they can learn different songs and can sing for their owners, I want mine to me nervous about it. His voice will be gorgeous but he finds himself self-conscious of it. Perhaps it's because he's more in-tune with a different musical ability, or because of certain genres that he's found himself uncomfortable with singing, but I want that to be his main quirk. As for character development I'd love to have other vocaloids involved with him when it comes to helping him with his confidence. It'll be good for plot points. That and he'd be a preferred dancer, more in-tune with the beat of the music, despite that fact that he knows the melody and can sing it perfectly well. However, he's no drama queen. It's a problem he wont admit to because he does have confidence, possibly too much, in himself at times. That and modesty wont be his biggest strength, also very outspoken and blunt. Timezone: central bby Roleplay samples: not much on this computer and i've lost everything from a couple years ago (i recently rejoined gaia), but here's a sample from an arranged marriage application that i wrote today : { hurr } Character: Tall and handsome, Chandler is the type of guy every girl would fall for- until they get to know him. Known for his idiotic remarks and flirty behaviour, he can't go five minutes without a 'THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID'. He thinks he's hilarious and knows his good looks. He flaunts everything he can, yet can't get a girl for more than a one-night stand -- his wisecracking in bed makes him an unappealing partner. He is a wonderful cook , and only seems to be 'normal' when either cooking or singing. His voice, having a late 90's grunge appeal, sounds like a cross between Dave Matthews, and Eddie Vedder. He loves to sing complex and wordy songs, though he can't define any of the words for the life of him. He is oblivious to everything and can smile like he'd live forever. His view of the world is limited and narrow - it consists of good food, music, T.V. , and women. Chandler is 22 and has perfect teeth. He doesn't know 'when to stop', in any aspect. My favourite kind are either the moody, the devious or the slightly mental ones since I have a lot of fun thinking on their accord, trying to guess what they would do and how they would do it in various situations while having to reply to the challenges given when roleplaying. As for what I have to offer as a tester is; one bag of vocaloid knowledge, one bag of brainstorming assistance, one bag of love for the whole project and one bag of cookies~ (I mean... everybody likes cookies!) And I can also help with chasing people around and trying to keep them working when they are being lazy... Weaknesses: ah, well... I am not very good with roleplaying characters who are 'love freaks' whether they are targeting the whole world or a single person in general. While I admit I tried this before there had been little, close to no success. And... I don't think I'm bad with organizing or helping out... however, my only problem is that I live in an odd timezone... >: Hours on Gaia: Usually I'm on all day. Timezone: EET (Eastern European Time) (GMT+2) Roleplay samples: of cakes and cats Lost Yesterday Who Knows what the future will bring Da-Te [I can provide links to finished roleplays if required, I only need to search for them in my folders since I store them away once finished] Character: Well... whilst I have not a clear idea of them (and will refer to the vocaloid as genderless for the time being) I believe I would like an extravagant character this once. Their most blatant personality trait would be their vanity which makes them blind to their own world and situation (that they are a program/software manufactured to sing) thus making socializing with them awkward if not almost impossible as far as normality goes. They'd be extremely prissy and proper with a large range of vocabulary on their 'weaponry', however sometimes this facade might be broken -when they are incredibly frustrated or flustered- in favour of adopting an offensive stance under which situation they'd flare with a violent temper. At some point in time... probably after their completion as individuals, I plan for them to somehow finally face themselves, though I don't think they'd ever admit defeat, not even to themselves. However they might at least wonder why they feel so empty and lost sometimes... Poetically put, they are a person living in a dream that they believe is theirs and theirs alone while, in fact, it's all part of their programming, thus placing them in the same position as a goldfish in its tank, swimming in circles while thinking that it's the whole world. As far as physical traits are involved my idea of them is too blurry to name them. Their voice range would be from D3 (or possibly a little lower) to D5. If I had to give an optimum musical genre for them it would be either pop-dance or rock. As for a name I could suggest a plethora of them right now but I would rather wait to decide on the character's gender before I do. Nikorasu-Kun Sup bby, I'm here to test drive you. You didn’t give me a lollipop. :> Strengths: I tend to roleplay character who often are complete ends of each other spectrums, shy recluses to massive extroverts, or some variation on those basic archetypes. I pretty much always have free time to help with whatever might be asked, since I always work on school work with my laptop in front of me with Gaia running. I’m practically on Gaia solely because of the B/C section, since it was the reason I joined in 2006 and the reason I stick around. Weaknesses: Emo characters, even the ones whom I tried to be emo ended up developing into somewhat different characters in the course of their roleplays. I suppose I don’t have the mind set to roleplay something like that effectively. ^^;; Being guy myself I don’t feel particularly comfortable playing female characters, I’ve never felt I could do them justice. I do live in Europe so that maybe a problem in the evenings for American folks. His naivety leads him to try and make friends with everyone, regardless of how little they may or may not know him, apparently failing to understand not everyone can get along, or that some people are just unfriendly types. Impossible to bring down, a perpetual source of warm optimism, though all too often so overbearing he quickly can become a major annoyance of even the most patient. Strengths: I’m good at playing male characters. I can usually cover a fair range of personalities though I tend to favor quiet and gentle or moody and foul tempered that has a hint of compassion somewhere. Once I start and Rp I’m pretty dedicated to it and like to spin fun ideas into the situations. I’ve been doing an 1 on 1 rp here on Gaia through pm’s for roughly four years straight, so once I get to know the person I’m rping with I find it easy to bounce ideas with them. I’m also familiar with Journal formats and self role-playing. I’ve been floating around the B/C’s for a while now so I know the ropes. Weaknesses: I’m not so good with role-playing girls; despite being one lol. If push comes to shove I can, but I rather not as they end up being to manly. If rp’s are in guilds, sometimes I do forget they are there unless poked by someone, the I don’t see so its not there type thing. I’m a little absent minded as well, but I try my best to remember what needs to be done. Also my grammar is the pits, as you can probably tell. Timezone: PST :3 Roleplay samples: Pet Journal for a shop I'm a apart of This ones a little old but still good Another Shop rp, Same shop Character: Usually I don’t pick out personalities till I see the image but I have a few ideas on the type of character I’d like to play. I would associate him with some soft alternative rock music, like The Fray, Coldplay and Lifehouse. His personality would be kind with a teasing sort; though always careful as to not over do things. Very playful and sweet, and tries to be helpful within his means. Despite being very kind and sweet; he’s not afraid to say what’s really on his mind or tell it how it is. Not afraid to give his opinion even if his company might not want it. He’ll be blunt and to the point if its something he really believes in and wont always back down when he really should. With that it sometimes gets him into to trouble; though he’ll apologize if he’s being too much. I was also thinking of making him blind, having to rely or his hearing. Also I thought him using a sort of echo location would be kind of neat to work into his personality as they’re sound based. He’d have an excellent sense of hearing of course to balance out his lack of sight. It could be considered a slight malfunction, it could be fixed it later stages but I’d rather him stay blind :3 I’m pretty open with ideas for what type of character to make, though it always comes down to what they look like. What can you offer as a beta tester?] Separating this into two sections, because I like to play different types of males and females, ohohoho. at least, this is what I've observed when I look through my OCs. Overall, I also tend to like playing devoted characters who are loyal to their friends/family. FEMALES - Strong females. Not physically, really, but those that are mentally tough and can fend for themselves just fine (I'm a bit of a feminist :U) I have many female OCs that fall into this category, and some of them are the leader-types. For example, I have one female OC that's a lawyer, and one that's a CEO of her own company. - Looks can deceive! This is one of my favorite kinds of character to RP so far, I am currently RPing a girl in a shop that falls under this category. Eve is a sweet, bubbly young girl (and blonde) and can usually be mistaken for those ditzy blondes at face value, but she isn't as simple as she seems. She chooses to be oblivious to things because she wants to and not because she's stupid. I think of her as those, "If she's good, she's good. If she's bad, she's really really bad." types. MALES - Nice guys. I am a sucker for those easygoing, friendly and thoughtful guys type, and it's really fun to RP them. However, they have their insecurities as well, which makes it all the more fun, as when they sometimes face their problems, they are hesitant to drag in others and attempt to deal with them on their own. As a tester? I like having fun RP and will totally jump at the chance of plotting. If there are great plots, I WILL BE THERE. I am terribly enthusiastic about plots. C: Weaknesses: [What type of character are you not so good at playing? What are you not so good with, as a tester?] Evil EVIL characters- I simply cannot get the hang of creating those "OMG I AM EVIL, I WANT TO KILL PUPPIES BECAUSE I WANT TO" types. Even if I RP evil characters, I am fond of giving them weaknesses, like their over protectiveness regarding family and friends (I actually abuse this weakness a lot). S/he (though I prefer she's XD; ) is that kind of person that everyone doesn't mind but tends to overlook sometimes. S/he likes to help others because it makes him/her feel happy, but sometimes feels a little resentful that people sometimes overlook him/her and wonders if they actually appreciate her efforts. A bit of a recluse, and rather shy in front of strangers but is very open with friends. Besides this, the stage is the only other area s/he is comfortable on and she loves dancing as well. Also I am kind of embarrassed of it, since I made it when I was a Freshmen in High School. Hey kid, how do you like that lollipop?: Just one? You can get me into that mysterious white van if you give me more. 8D Strengths: It is difficult to pinpoint one. I can literally take on any form and roll with it. As a female character, I can be just about anyone from experience in meeting them in person or reading about it. I add my experiences with observing other females and conversing with them to bring forth my character whether it is the sarcastic know-it-all or a passive aggressive boxer. As a male character, it proves to be more challenging in a good way. It literally goes against everything that I am, and makes me strive to make it a good character. I take on a virtual mask and act it the scene or my post out. I really do stand up in my room and act it out as if what is going on is really happening in my dorm. As a tester, I give you fresh eyes. People who have been testers before know what to look for, but those who have yet to be a tester, give details and ideas that present you with views that were not caught before. It helps not just you, but myself to bring the B/C interest thread to life. It is like we are learning together! 8D Weaknesses: The type of character that I am not so good at is on that appears soft and intentionally cute without it being a five year old. I am not particularly fond of playing a soft-spoken or a high end maintenance female. As of current, there is not yet a male type of character I am not willing to play/try. As a tester, the only thing I can think of is inexperience. Hours on Gaia: Infinite. I am kidding. MWF: After 5pm until whenever I go to sleep. Roughly 2am. TuTh: From noon to 12am. SatSunday: 11am to 2am or later. Timezone: Central Standard Time – United States Roleplay samples: My Co-Owned RP with lots of samples. RP Sample - Old More like stories. There are two. Character: His personality is that of a curious person, but only curious about the things he wants to learn about. So if you teach him, something he is not interested in, he forgets it. Similar aspects of his forgetfulness are tasks or dates given to him. For instance, if he a given a chore to bring in the clothes that were hanging outside if it rained, he would forget and they would be rained on. Often you have to repeat the process to him, so that he automatically does it from memory and experience. He is the type of person that to get his attention, you have to find something or do something that would catch his interests. You can think of it like shuffling cards. Separate the cards into two stacks. Shuffle by taking the top card of each stack and placing it over one another in a new stack. That’s how his mind is, but much faster. He is a mimicker, due to his sense of hearing. So his ability to learn is quicker, especially speech patterns. In terms of speaking to someone or something, he is straight-forward and blunt, sometimes using the exact wording as how he heard it. Despite being able to learn quicker, understanding them is an issue. If interested, he would ask whoever is available for the meaning and such. He is a patient person, but that patience is annoying to others sometimes. For example, if he is learning about a picture or an object, he would probably just point at it and expect you to explain it. If you don’t, he basically stares at you until you do, or if he gets bored of it. |
