Yep~ I'm hiring. Since I don't think I can run this entire project by myself. I'll be responsible for all art/graphics, as well as a major part of the story and roleplay stuff, though.

Manager hiring ends on November 9th, 2009.

Beta test applicants end on October 27, 2009.

- 1 Manager [Of advertisement and general keeping things alive.]
- 2 'Beta testers' so to speak. [Will be taking care of the two prototype vocaloids before the main thread opening. But it IS RP required.]

+ You must be ACTIVE and literate.
+ Must have either AIM or MSN where I can reach you at all times.
+ Once posting your form, your chances will be nil if you just run off and never bother to talk with me.
+ Be willing to come up with ideas and events is a big bonus.
+ Be organized and unafraid to speak up to me. [Since your job may include tallying points and keeping records, as well as telling me to get my a** into gear and who needs to be grown. >__>; ]
+ SENSE OF HUMOR. I joke about everything and anything, I don't want someone who gets offended and avoids talking to me.
+ Willing to write up posts and start events for me in the case that I may be gone and/or just generally lazy and retarded.
+ You will be in charge of advertisement. Interpret this how you will, but you'll need to bring some ideas to the table!
+ And in general be my partner in crime.

The four horsemen of the apocalypse become bored with the overused ways of destruction with all their favorite methods over abused by humans. So they thought and pondered until they came to a new idea. What was spread worldwide and something they could cause destruction from? Well not saying that they could not have caused destruction from anything, but that’s not really the point. So it came upon them. Every human in the world listens to music, noise, or feels sounds. So the idea was that they could start a band. They’ll take the music world by storm, have fun, and once they have enough fans turn them into murderous freaks and destroy the world.
What is a cataclysmic event if at least one party involved cannot have fun?

Though to be fair, this plan went awry. How that’s fair I won’t even begin to explain. So instead they became the epitome of all music production companies. They now support other artists in their quests to make music since… well.. War can’t sing, Famine scares people with his gauntness, Pollution dissolves his instruments, and Death often doesn’t let the audience survive. So that causes a lot of problems for being in the public eye. Though being the people behind the scenes would allow them benefits.
So in short, they will have the singers and musicians in their hands get fans for them to turn into murderous freaks and destroy the world. They could just erode the world in a snap, but as I said they want to have fun.

The only two who seem to have discovered anything about the four horsemen’s plan are two of the oddest people. The great wizard Sai and Ink the beloved thief. Sai knew that the death of the personifications of intangible evil could not be wrought by human hands. So in his workshop he tinkered for days until he came up with the key. The Key was an object that could be used to control the four horsemen into killing themselves and thus save the world. This plan was all well until one day, by the moonlight a figure broke in and stole the instruction manual to The Key. This inscribed object was the only thing able to control The Key’s immense powers which ended up in the hands of Ink. He memorized every bit of it and then ate it. No one alive could explain the reasoning or even why or what happened to led to this but the control interface for The Key was now forever in Ink’s gut. Sai, luckily was the only one able to activate it, but there was a problem.

Sai and Ink knew each other and had a horrible habit of tormenting each other exclusively. They wouldn’t listen to each other even with holding the fate of the entire world.

Recently The Key has been involved in a string of events. It was stolen by the horseman’s people for a bit, them learning about the device and finding they could not destroy it. Then a third party came along and took it from there. This third party is a person and their groupies who have done all the research and know of the importance and abilities of such a device as The Key. Being a bit of an arse-face and not caring much about either side, the third party has kept The Key under lock and key.(hurr pun.)

Where do musical robots come in all this you ask? Well it’s simple. The Third Party, who literally call themselves that thank you, aren’t the sanest bunch of interfering bastards. So… they put The Key as the grand prize(among other things so normal people aren’t suspicious) in the world’s biggest music competition. Singers of all affiliations around the world are going to be competing along with the Four Horsemen’s company. So in an attempt to win it back, Sai started his own production/label company. Most of the humans had been taken by other recruiters in an attempt for the multitude of exotic and lusted for prizes, so with human ingenuity had taken the vocaloid program to new levels. There were literally androids/robots each with their own personality and voice made from the basis of a flash drive and the vocaloid programming. These Vocaloids take part in the competition alongside humans and usually under a master since they need to be ordered from the company that manufactures them by a person.

Note: Alternatively I could make the four horsemen the ultimate band still. Other options I could feasibly change that I can think of is that Sai would run the vocaloid android manufacturing company(since magic would help in the explanation of how they hell they work) and that Ink the thief ended up running a label using the Vocaloids that Sai constructed, Ink getting the best ones so they can get back the unlucky Key and save the world.
Meaning that one of the things the vocaloids would aspire to be is in Ink/Sai’s label company.

USB:

Somehow, you've acquired a USB. You notice that it says "VocaSystem" and also includes a three digit number. Inside the driver is some sort of program and an image file, but otherwise it's completely blank.













VocaCell:

Your vocaloid has evolved. The problem with that is that your USB and part of your computer has melted when you tried to open the program.

At the moment it's blank and 'new', there are no songs loaded onto his/her database and they don't seem to be too responsive or interactive. They have a dull, blank look to them most of the time and they can't perform basic functions like dance or basic talk yet. Better start teaching them some songs, quick!

This stage is also the preparation stage, and also the most versatile. The owner may choose to buy modules to 'modify' their vocaloid appearances when they're upgraded next. After this stage, modules are no longer compatible and the vocaloids may not be modified with this method.













Vocaloid:

How they grow~ Your vocaloid has reached its adulthood and adapted to all the modules they were given. It can now perform everything a normal human can do, including stealing your credit card. At this point their personalities are pretty dead set and they're beginning to find their own style. They have a wide variety of songs they can sing to you, with a good grasp of all basic functions. By this point, they should be interested in picking up a personal instrument. Won't you teach them?




Transcendence (RP only):
A vocaloid's transcendence merely means an upgrade, therefore you have to make a trip back to the technicians (But shouldn't you be doing that regularly for maintenance anyway?). The brand new, super shiny v2.0 is everything your vocaloid has been raised up to, but with new specs and a new appearance to fit their style. At this stage, they're able to leave their owners for lengthy amounts of time without running out of batteries. They can even join bands if they want to~ This is the end of a vocaloid's growth.

Bands:
If your vocaloid chooses to start a band, they can take it up with the VocaSystem founder. First they'll have to put in a letter of request and officially register, along with a demo CD. If he approves, then a fee will be taken from each band member and a certificate given to officially recognize the new band.

[As far as art goes, this means that a new art piece (In the form of a band poster) will be drawn along with a new design of ALL band members. This is why the fee will, unfortunately, not be very low.)

Modules are separate compartments that can be acquired separately from a Vocaloid. These are usually sold through events, auctions, or given as reward for activity. It's very, very rare for these to be in stock at normal shops.

Modules can range from anything including:

- Animal traits {Ears / tails, usually in a set.]
- Wings [ Rare]
- Specific outfit change [This is basically free ticket to completely customizing your vocaloid's final stage with me.]
- Cosplay
- Signature items [Pillows, leeks, steamroller, ice cream.. 'props' your vocaloid will appear with in the latter stage.]
- Colour change [Tan/darker skin, eye colour etc.]
- Elf/drow ears
- .. And much more.

Amount of Modules:

+ A vocacell may not be overloaded with more than two modules and one colour change module. (Three in total.)

+A vocacell owner can choose to wait and postpone the evolution of their vocaloid until they acquire the specific module they want.

+ Once a Vocaloid has been upgraded and all modules compounded, they may NOT acquire more modules or otherwise be modified.

+ Modules are only compatible with vocacells, but the owners can acquire modules before their demo player has changed. That being said, modules cannot be acquired by those without a demo player. (Unless they already have a pre-existing Vocaloid and have demonstrated a preparation for receiving a second one soon.)

Further Info:

- Vocacells do not all appear as simple as the one in the sample. If they've been bought through auction or otherwise a special event type, they will keep all the traits they already come with. In which case, if the owner acquires a certain module that their Vocacell already has, they may make specific requests of what they want changed.

For example, Owner has acquired a vocacell with cat traits and demon wings. If Owner manages to get one wing module and one trait module, they can request that the cat ears and tail be swapped for wolf ones, and demon wings swapped for angel wings.

- On the topic of twins, one module will only affect one twin. Therefore, the owner must acquire two modules if they want to keep their twins identical.

I am also very humble and I never ever ever EVER lie. *cough* AND... did I already say awesome? Um... I "deal" with people very kindly. And, (this has no value but for some reason it popped up in my head) when I was younger, I was away from school for a few days and when asked, I answered "I was at band camp." Strengths: Writing. I love to write. I would write all day if I could. (There will be samples down in that roleplay section). I would write stuff for eternity for you. I also roleplay, and love to roleplay with people, in fact it’s like my oxygen thus I think I’d be pretty good at keeping a zone active. I’ve run/co-run/moderated a few (now dead) RP sites off gaia (if you want links to dead sites I’d be more than happy to provide), and so I know how to boss people around, put ‘em in their place and then RP the living daylights out of them, yessir. I’ve been roleplaying since I was nine years old. Albeit it was on neopets (back when they still had semi-decent Rpers) but that’s where I started. I then moved to avidgamers (now dead) and you can find me lurking around Acornrack. Also, it should be noted that after homework (and sometimes before it) I have no life, this lack of life is dedicated to awesome things online. This shop would qualify. I live in Canada, I can give you my expert know-how on igloos (hahaha), horrid Frenglish skills and my slightly extensive knowledge on Canadian politics. I listen to bands that no one else I know has heard of, or only one or two, so, uh I can bring in new things? xD I hate Spears and Gaga if that counts for anything. IF YOU LIKE THEM IGNORE THAT. Oh, yes, I am prone to use capitals and get very hyper, making my writing look like shat, but please just click the samples. It’s a better place over there. I can do photo-manipulation stuff (one, two etc.). I’m friendly, I love to talk, I like nice people. I really like to be lazy and chat about pointless things on MSN/AIM when one’s supposed to be working, but I get the job done because I hate failure, it’s a phobia. I’m also a blue belt in karate (meaning only a brown belt stands in the way of my conquest for black!) so I know how to kick the butt of CREEPY OLD MEN IN WHITE VANS… yeah.

I also love TWEWY, and for auction/themes I recommend phobias, seasons and how do I put this? Those awesome comic book sound effects. Like a KABLAM or BOOM! vocaloid, I’m not sure if the last one really fits but I thought it’d be cool.
Weaknesses: I can be a very mean person, not to ones face but I won’t lie that I make fun of people, sometimes. This makes me seem a little snobby, but, uh I’m friendly I just have a cruel, twisted sense of humor at times? I get indimidated by people who have 200 year old friendships, I get annoyed when two people only talk to each other, but in my annoyance I tend to pull back from people. I’m human, I lack sleep. I can draw, but I’m not as good as you, so that’s a weakness right here. I like to be helpful and there’s not much I wouldn’t do, I like to be involved, it’s like a need for me and I love the B/C community, almost every aspect of it – I think I’ll be up for anything but if I don’t like something, I’ll finish it and then bring it up as maybe something I could avoid at a later date.

Strengths: I can offer over 2 years experience in the B/C forums. My literacy and misbegotten obsession with grammar. As far as advertising, I've been known to solicit shamelessly, my signature as of current is proof of that. When it comes to getting what needs to be done, done, I'm a stickler for timing and set in stone when things are going to be accomplished and, belaying and major dilemmas, go to lengths to do so in a timely and efficient manner. When I work or am representing my place of employment I make every effort to be professional and personable, and have been commended by my boss at The Lucky Noodle for solving problems in the thread.
Weaknesses: Life. I often get wrapped up in time consuming tasks that require I remove my presence from Gaia. I've parents who will pull me away at any given moment for no reason whatsoever. My major downfall is my temper, I tend to go out on a limb to prove my point.
Hours on Gaia: School is a factor, so I am on between 2 and 5 hours on weekdays. Weekends I clock as much as 20 hours in a single day.

Strengths: Keeping track of lists, having ideas, willing to bounce ideas off of others and basically listen. Not only to staff but to shop patrons. I will now spam you with my job experience.
I was employed at Anima Regnum, which has since closed. The shop is empty, so if you have questions I'd contact Kita Etheria Bloodmyth, the previous owner. I am currently Working at Iridian Sanctuary as RP manager. I was shop manager but stepped down due to an owner change. NOW SOME STUFF ABOUT WHAT I THINK I CAN DO WELL:
I can deal with drama pretty well, I try to take logical approach and not let my feeling or past ones interfere with decision making. I like to keep things organized and stay on top of them. Mostly I try to be friendly, helpful and general all around good person to everybody. Staff or shop patron. I'm active in RPing and love to read up on other people's stories and whatnot. And this sound very lame and generic so I'm just going to leave it here kay? XD
Weaknesses: I don't like having to create banners/graphic because frankly, I suck at them. Majorly. I'm pretty good in dealing with lists and coding and all that stuff. AND UH. I can get overly annoying when going 'YOUR CHARACTER, IT IS ZE SUE'. A few people have told me I can come off as harsh when critiquing, but other says it's a good thing. It's one of those vague line deals. Some like it, some don't. But honestly, sues make me want to cry. It's not hard to make a good character that is fun. I have fun RP characters with negatives on mary sue tests! It's just one thing that leaves me super disappointed.
I also lurk. Terribly. I try to be active but there has to be convo or I just post something along the lines of: 'Sup?' /horrible

Payment: A pretty pet @w@' I'm cool with taking a monthly actual payment, and in most shops I work at, it's only really from big events. (Like, 5% on auctions of something). I'm pretty laid back when it come to payment and really, I think that it's something the shop owner need to discuss with artists. SORRY THIS IS VAGUE BUT I JUST FEEL LIKE THIS IS SHOP OWNER DEALIO. Managers just manage stuff.

Strengths: I'll start with experience~ I have been a moderator for a 12 months, lead moderator for 10 of those months, at an online pony breeding game hosted by Acclaim.com. My job there is to keep the forum and IRC goers in line, keep the forum and IRC clean, keep the twitter and facebook group up to date, make sure the rest of my team is working together and on the same page, as well as discuss bug reports,suggestions and marketing ideas with the GMs and developers. I have written a few of their announcements, edited countless translation errors, as well as put together the Wikipedia page (which is currently being torn apart by overly zealous editors who know nothing about the game =|) and a few FAQ posts in the forum. I have also written rules and organized the mods to a well-working unit.
.....Now for my strengths: I'm a list maker, an organizer, a writer, and a very creative person. (Ask me to draw something for you and I'll give you something that halfway resembles a stick, though.) I'm an avid user of Googledocs to keep organized and like touching base as often as possible. I love being able to toss ideas around with someone who can actually create something from them, and it gives me more of a drive to keep thinking up more. I'm a friendly person with (and I quote from my team members) "the patience of a saint" who will go above and beyond to create an awesome team and thread. I take criticism and channel it into energy to improve myself. I will admit it if I make a mistake. I can lead, I can follow, but either way I'll be a hard working member of the team.
Weaknesses: I have been out of the Gaia "scene" for a while and I may need time to settle in while fine tuning my marketing schemes. I'm sometimes very indecisive about small things ("Which do you like more: Red or Blue?" ) and I will stalk you. I critique only when asked (unless, y'know, my job is to critique entries or something) and prefer to sugar coat my critiques. I use parenthesis, smilies, and similes a LOT when chatting. Sometimes I get into a funk where I'm not as enthusiastic as normal, but I will letcha know if it's serious. I also can't draw or color to save my life and until I find some pirated PS, I have no graphics talent either.
Hours on Gaia: I am guaranteed to be stalking/chatting up the thread from when I get up to when I drag myself to sleep. (And possibly in my dreams knowing how obsessive I get.)

Strengths: I, for some reason, have an imagination that just won’t quit cranking out ideas, so I’ve got that on my side. I love attempting put the ideas into fruition, too, they always come up in various forms – character, shop concepts, event ideas that shop owners should hold, you name it, I might have already thought of it. If I love a shop’s idea, I’m likely to be a very active participant in that shop. I have made graphics as well (the link is not fully finished!), and can probably make some in a pinch (though I’ll admit that the GIMP and I are not a perfect couple). I can write, though everyone can to some degree, so that’s not really 'oh-em-effing-gee-u-r-so-auesome' impressive. Alas, I have little proof of these claims, as I don’t really have any outlet to put some of the strengths toward.
Weaknesses: Not good at critique. Giving ideas, sure, but critique is not my good point, as I’m more of a sugar-coater in that aspect (there are exceptions). Not my own weakness, but my computer is slower than a diamond growing in the ground, so I tend to be a pokey poster as a result (Road Runner is good, but not the computer it’s on). Drawn, freehand art skills, well, they’re as good as that of a zombie, so for the Vocaloids and such, you should probably stick with that job. XD
Hours on Gaia: Unknown, but I’m on rather often, on-off-throughout random hours of the day, I’d say I’ve been logged in on-off since… 8 AM or so today, with a gap between 2-5 PM when I took a nap. I know, I'm nuts regarding sleep.

Character Profile – ItNotM quest concept, not fully completed, but there’s a substantial amount of information on here, including a RP-prompt response.
Payment: Hm. 10-45k a month or biweekly (whichever one you can afford more), or – this I would prefer – two Vocaloids, one given quite some time (at least after I’ve done some substantial work!) after the opening. I enjoy roleplaying and character creation, so I don’t plan to neglect any that I get. Even a combination of one Vocaloid and gold (however much) would work. I’m not too nitpicky.

Strengths: I'm ridiculously OCD about thread organization and keeping things running smoothly. I'm an English major and probably one of the biggest book nerds, so I'm all about creativity and excitement and adventure, and I love to edit things. Once I start something, I usually want to keep doing it until it's finished. I also have no problem telling people off when it needs to be done. I own one very large, very successful roleplaying guild, so I know how to deal with both a staff and members pretty well. C:

Strengths: COMPANY. What more could you ask for~?! LOL. Cough. No really, But seriously. I'm pretty good at organizing events and games. I can also be rather...pushy about organization since I like to be able to get to stuff easily rather then search a whole database. I am also very timely. I like to get things done on time if I can help it. I dislike not keeping a promise and being late. Where is my proof? You could always just ask Kuro-Mizuki about how much I ask her if she has something done or not xD Don't worry. I wouldn't drive you crazy, honest. Just insane with a touch of you pulling your hair out is all~
Weaknesses: I am only less inclined to do something if my mind is just extremely out of it. Can't expect me to be in a good state all the time while going to college right? Nearing the end of my first degree so its pushing on me at this current time. I also do not like dealing with people who become eyesores to everyone in a thread. I also like to lurk unless someone's talking to me. As far as organization goes, I'm pretty decent unless once again, college has killed my brain.

Strengths: I can write fairly well and I can do this without making spelling mistakes, especially with the help of spell check. I am always online (though not necessarily on gaia, but most definitely on IM.) I am also an artist though very much beneath you! Nevertheless I can be your slave and find you references or be your critic if you need one.
Weaknesses: I've never RPed before, nor will I be as cool as the writer on entropy whose idea (of writing cryptic but not really poems for each scanlation release) I think is really cool and would fit well with the vocaloid idea. Also, I am doing college applications right now so during December I might be freaking out haha.
Hours on Gaia: maybe 2 per day but this varies with my homework load.
