Welcome to Whimsy, a new B/C Shop. Technically, this is an Interest Thread, which means we're is looking for your input and suggestions! Not for free, of course! Helpful, insightful guests may be rewarded with pets, stickers and more. So take a look and tell us what you think! And once again, welcome to Whimsy, enjoy your stay! <3

Please note, most of the artwork for this thread is still being created.
That being said, I'd appreciate your feedback on what I do have up. Even if it's a negative comment, feedback is feedback.

Three sisters moved to Whimsy after they inherited their parents’ mysterious “summer cabin.” Though they’re not thrilled at the move, they make a thrilling discovery in the study; boxes upon boxes of what appear to be large eggs, and ledgers detailing their parents’ work with them. Strange animals seem to hatch out of these foreign eggs, and then they begin to grow! Oddly enough, the creatures themselves are nowhere to be found! Some sketches have been discovered in the old notebooks, but they seem vague and fantastical.

Now the sisters have decided to pick up where their parents left off, though with a twist. They’re turning the house into a shop, and polishing the eggs for sale! They think they have a good idea of what might hatch from at least some of them, so they’re offering those up to see what happens. Are you courageous enough to get an egg and hatch it?

The town of Whimsy has many opportunities for residency! Farms are available to raise your eggs on, and seeds are easy to find. Most of the residents hold games or opportunities for you to acquire items; some are useful, some have a purpose that is yet to be unlocked. ;3
(RP is required for farms, games and events. Players are encouraged, loved and rewarded!)

Diane, the oldest sister. She doesn’t do much with running the shop itself, but rather spends her time in the back rooms and study. Devoting most of her time to culling notebooks left by her parents, she’s rarely seen. She believes her work is very important, and hopes to improve the shop with some of her inventions and findings. Hopefully that’ll work out for her.

Ruby, or “B.” is the middle sister. She’s rude and hard-nosed, and generally seen as unfriendly. Though Diane is her sister, B feels very little sympathy for her long hours, and often complains that Diane doesn’t spend enough time watching Mabel. She knows a lot about the store, but generally works as a cashier and doesn’t answer questions.

Mabel, the youngest sister does all of the inventory and stock for the shop. She’s the one to go to when you have a question, and she’s always seen with a smile. Mabel loves B, but doesn’t understand why she doesn’t get along with Diane. Always the one keeping the peace, Mabel is more likely to walk away from a confrontation than to stay and dish it out.

Kyle is the son of the eccentric shut in known as Lady Victoria. He runs the library all on his own, and likes it to be neat and quiet at all times. He can be pretty hard to get along with if you're not the quiet type, or if you come to the library to goof off. Kyle loves to share his passion for books, and is easy to talk to about the local histories and lore, since he studies it in his free time.

Nate is a kind and gentle soul who takes care of the Farming District. He's who you'll want to talk to if you're interested in your own farm, and let's face it, who wouldn't be? He's chatty and nice, but hates to see plants get mistreated. Nate will take away plants from neglectful users, and will hold a long grudge against abusers.

Susanne is the happy, cheerful and chatty girl who runs Sweet Treats Bakery. She has a passion for food, but is usually pretty disorganized and scatterbrained. As such, she usually needs a lot of help around her shop, and she appreciates anyone who takes the time to lend a hand.

Evoh unisex baby, child male and female, male and female adolescent, male and female adult

> Egg
This is the first stage of life for all pets. It's also one of the shortest! At this stage your new pet is simply an egg, but after a period of 7 days your egg will grow into something more exciting! As soon as it starts getting cracks, you should come back to the thread.

> Baby
Babies hatch from eggs. When they are born they are mostly helpless, but incredibly adorable. They use their cuteness as an advantage to get others to take care of them. Babies don't do much except for eat, sleep and cry. But if you're patient and caring, in 1 - 2 weeks they'll grow into a child!

> Child
Your pet has a distinct gender now! You can also see what sort of creature it is, and its markings will become more distinctive. Children love to play and often get lonely if they're left alone too long. Be sure to give your pet lots of care, and in 1 - 2 weeks they'll grow into an adolescent!

> Adolescent
Your pet's markings will become even more distinct, as their view of the world continues to expand. Adolescent pets tend to be moody and manic, but they still need lots of love. They need less supervision, and can be left alone for longer periods of time. Adolescents are learning to gain their independence, and at this stage they are more likely to leave their clan (if they are a clan or tribe oriented species). Within another 1 - 2 weeks your pet will have reached adulthood.

> Adult
An adult pet has reached the final stage of life... Or have they? Full of maturity and wisdom, adults can finally breed and form families of their own! Their offspring will always contain the markings of their parents (or even their grandparents, in later generation). Adult pets will never pass away on their own.


Elder
A special stage that must be requested or earned. Elders have aged, and are full of wisdom. They can no longer breed, but have the ... special option of dying after 1 - 2 weeks. A dying elder will leave behind a teardrop shaped sack containing an egg with its essence inside.


Reincarnation
A dying elder will leave behind a teardrop shaped sack with an egg inside, which is called reincarnation. The egg will emerge after 1 - 2 weeks, and be similar to its original pet, though with unique enhancements. Reincarnated make for some of the most strange and unique pets.

Total Growth Time: ~ no more than 7 weeks

Tip: Reincarnation makes for some of the most unique pets !

Evoh (Common)

Fluffy, cute little creatures with long fluffy ears and curly banded tails. Males have spiked hair, furry chests, and receive an ear cuff when they reach childhood as a rite of passage. Females have long, flowing hair, sleeker fur, and a hair ribbon or braid which grows longer as they grow older.

Species 2: (Codename Appos)

Appos are small creatures who are incredibly intelligent and quick. Males feature a floating bauble tail, and females have a spiny tail which is very soft but can only be stroked in one direction. Only females possess the forehead focus crystal, until the Elder stage when they also show up on males. They possess simple psychic powers and may use these to communicate short messages to their owners. These powers grow more potent as the Appo grows, and at the Elder stage are believed to have a very basic understanding of the human language.

Elder Appos have slight psychic powers. The males powers can be focused by the crystals on its forehead or tail, while the female relies solely on the gem located on her forehead to manifest her desires. It is not known why the tails of Appos change when they reach Elder state.

Cragon (Uncommon)

Frail, light and agile, Cragon are a rarer species. They have hooklike noses and grow spectacular insect-like wings as they age. They have very long ears which tend to get tattered as they soar to amazing heights. They have very soft, short fur, and tiny horns. Their tails are long and flowing, sometimes covered in feathers.

Tindigger (Uncommon)
Tindiger have long and wide flipper-like paws and no tails at all. They are very lazy and calm creatures, and love to sleep all day. Tindiger have an amazing sense of taste, and often lick and chew on others and objects. As such, it's unusual to see them without their tongues hanging out.

Rappos (Rare)
Rappos are a strange mix of creatures. They have sticky front paws like geckos, and bird-like back feet. They have small wings, and feather-like protrusions on their cheeks. They also have sharp beaks, and possess mental capabilities almost equal to humans. There have been reports of strange happenings where Rappos reside; objects moving, breaking, floating. It is believed they have exceptional psychic powers.

Colorists will be responsible for three (3) full-staged pets per month. You may do customs when you like, host games for single-stage adults, and do multi-colorist flats. We will also try to run events every-other month at the least.

Manager/Co-Owner Form

We're also looking for a Manager/Co-Owner all rolled into one. This is because I, personally, have no experience running a B/C shop. I've run an art shop before, but I feel there are differences in running a B/C shop. I have run events before, in my home thread the MPT, so I think I'll have that handled.

The person we are looking for is friendly and willing to teach me the ropes of the B/C. You should be able to organize flatsales, and help set up a rotation schedule for the colorists bribes/breedings. I will handle the farms, gears shop, metaplot, and things like that. I had more to write here but I forgot when it all got deleted. Updating later.

This is a random post filled with ideas for the shop. Please comment, critique and suggest.

» shop Metaplot (spoilers!)
Bee gets fed up with the shop and town and takes off. She returns after a while with new items! Special non-breedable pets that come from strange, exotic items. When Bee leaves again an item goes out of stock. She always returns with a new item and a few of the previous ones. (So, limited amounts/rarity.)

» stickers
Users get a free stickercard upon request. Cards hold 8 stickers. Stickers may be purchased with gold (3 new/month), traded from gears, earned in events or received from contests. One purchasable sticker per month (chosen randomly) will enter owners in a raffle for a pet or egg. Stickers can also be earned from roleplay. You may also choose to place a sticker on your pets' cert. An egg sticker placed on a cert will grant an extra kit during breeding, for example. Gear stickers on certs may provide multipliers for gear trade-ins (silver = 1.5x) or discounts at the gears mini-shop.

Earned from farming and selling the produce or through events. Gears can be used to purchase gears-only stickers and eventually minishop items. Earning your first gear nets you a bronze gear sticker. Silver, gold and blue gear stickers are awarded after certain amounts are earned.

An opportunity to get free pets?! Request a farm in the guild. Choose seeds from The Greenhouse. ONCE A WEEK make an RP entry about how you cared for your garden. If you post every week in a month (you're allowed to miss ONE) you will receive produce to sell for gears or trade for gears and stickers AND be allowed to roll a die for a free egg. You earn a farming sticker for participation. Active farmers and roleplayers may earn special stickers, perks and raffle tickets.

» festivals and events
Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing inspired events! Gracie may visit with clothing edits, for example. Or Gulliver may need you to find his spaceship parts which are scattered in the thread or guild. We may host an animal festival for one type of animal only (writing prompt), or have a harvest festival for you to donate your farmed produce in! Winners of animal festivals get a ribbon or scarf edit for their pet and a gold/silver/bronze trophy sticker. All festival participants get a blue commemorative sticker.

» shop Metaplot (spoilers!)
Althea the Witch and the Alchemy Pot Metaplot: Althea heard rumors of an ancient and powerful tool that happens to be hidden somewhere in town. Search the thread and guild for the missing pieces and deliver them to her. After some time she'll reconstruct the magical cauldron and possibly open it to the public. You may then give her three ingredients to mix together, and wait for the pot to do its thing. This may result in a new species of pet or an item.

» monthly free raffle
This will be a "mystery" sort of raffle, held monthly for a free pet. The idea being that any poster who posts the correct "mystery phrase" for the month will be entered. Mystery phrases can be something as simple as saying "congrats' to a winner, or talking about food, but the list will not be revealed until the end of the month when the winner is rolled.
