xxxThe universe is not a cold, dead thing. The Universe is full of life. Although this wasn’t always known by the humans it is now. It’s 4024, and it’s been 2000 years since humans finally realized that they weren’t the only ones in the universe, not only that but there are many different solar systems with planets and species of their own. They have also learned the hard way that some of these races are friendly, and others are downright deadly. With human’s skills in technology they started creating a giant ship to allow them to travel and hopefully form better relationships with the other races. Little did they know that their ship wouldn’t just help mend relationships with the races from other planets, but it would be their whole universes savior.

xxxIt’s called The Zoo and this group of deadly creatures has been going around destroying universes and enslaving the races of different planets and making them part of their “freak show”. So far no one has been able to destroy them or even hurt them. It was only time till they came to the Milky Way. They started at the planet Pluto and it was spread throughout the universes that they had come to kill everyone. Quickly every human on Earth worked on the ship they were building, hoping to finish it in time to save themselves. They would have never been able to do it alone and all hope was looking like it was lost when they sent out a message to the other planets. They had a ship, and if the others would help them finish it in time they could come too. Soon small ships started to appear with different species, some which the humans had never seen in person. It was only together they they were able to finish the ship in time. They named it the Charon.

xxxAs The Zoo made it's way towards Earth the last of the Handans were boarding, only a few of them even surviving to make it to the ship. Thankfully even though The Zoo is deadly it isn't all that fast, and also doesn't have good tracking skills, for it was those two things that allowed the Charon to get away. Blasting into hyper space the species of our universe search for a new place to call their home. It has been over three hundred years since the Charon left Earth for a new place to call home and so far the search has been unsuccessful. However there is plenty of activity on Charon to keep things exciting and there is always that hope that soon they will have a home.

This sector is for any crew members and it contains all atmospheres so everyone can breathe there. It includes crew dorms and all control/communications/tactics systems. It also houses the A.I., and all the weapons. It can be modified for the comfort of any species, either via a sealed room or special suits.





This sector has mainly Lurians, Humans and Heraculeans in it however it allows just about everyone. Tt contains all atmospheres so everyone can breathe there. The only race with out accomdations would be the Hadans. They don't mind though. It is a marble square with statues of each race, as well as sections of the appropriate atmospheres. It is used as a meeting place for all of them, and it houses the ruling council.





This sector mainly has Humans, Lurians, Heraculeans and the Dioti. There are all atmospheres there so everyone can breathe there. This place is a gigantic marketplace bustling with trade and color. Many of all species come here to pick up interesting oddities and sample new creations, from food to clothing to just about anything. There are areas with other atmospheres, though the primary atmosphere is similar to what Earth’s used to be (Oxygen, Nitrogen, and CO2). There are many stores, stalls, restaurants, and other forms of entertainment to suit anybody’s fancy, and plenty of opportunities to make a buck or hear something interesting.





This sector is completely filled with fresh water, and is primly inhabited by Hadans and Nayames. It is the main hydroponic sector, and thus produces most of the food for the city. It is also where all of the Hadans live. Others may live here too, but if they aren’t Nayame they likely have to wear special suits which can be provided at the entrance.





The Dioti and Enchloros call this sector their home and the atompshere is made of oxygen. This places is a grove of the Dioti’s sacred ancestor trees, salvaged from their home moon and re planted here. Their ancestor trees are at the center of the Grove and is surrounded by a garden of beautiful plants. Some of these plants are dormant Enchloros that have woven themselves into a vast neural lattice to study the Dioti- at their permission. Surrounding the grove are elegant buildings in a very Dioti style. Rarely are species other than Dioti and Enchloros allowed to live here, though it is not unheard of.





This sector is for the Varton and Enchloros. The atmosphere is made of Co2 and sulfuric acid. Real and fake stones scatter what appears to be a wild district of mountains, catacombs, and caves, as well as wasteland. This is the home of the Vartons. It contains their current queen, their nursery, and their stasised females- which they refused to trust to the stasis chamber in the Bilge. It is a harsh district, just like Venus and Just how they like it. The current ruling Queen makes her lair in the mountain, but future queens may lair elsewhere.





This sector is for the Nayame and Deriviapods and has an atmposhere made of methane. It is a beautiful place with high-ceilings full of Neptunean and Uranean plants, and gorgeously shaped buildings. They don’t like outsiders much, but do not actively prohibit them... except in their roosts of course.





This is one of the few sectors that only allow one race to ever enter, that is the Deriviapods and it has an methane atmosphere to accommodate them. It is illegal for any other species to enter this district. It houses their primary temple... and the trees that allow them to reproduce. There is some argument about whether Halfbreeds are the same species or not...





This mainly human sector is filled with oxygen. It may seems lively at first, but then you see that it is a tense, fearful place. Most of the humans here are fairly wealthy. Those not resident to the area must obtain special passes, and even then they get strange looks. Even other humans are given the evil eye. Its not a nice place for most to go, but it has lovely buildings and good food. If you can afford it. The humans that live here are proud of where they come from. It has happened that a member of a different Oxygen Breathing species has managed to get a home in this district... but they often are unhappy... unless they are a Hadan, but Hadans typically don’t want to wear their suits all the time. Dioti are treated somewhat better than other species, but most avoid this district if they can help it.





This sector is home to the Heraculean and the atopshere is oxygen. It is a grand place, though the Heraculean politely don’t allow any other species to live there. It is where their most private rituals and trainings are held. That isn’t to say some Enchloros haven’t infiltrated, and that other species don’t visit from time to time, but they have asked that no other species interfere in their personal district, and the others comply- in part because the Heraculeans ask for so little else.





This is the sewage treatment area. Only criminals and Hadans go here... and the Hadans don't care. Somewhere deep inside, though, are the stasis chambers containing thousands of children of each species, as well as life forms from their home planets... for when they find a place to live, or in case of disaster. This area of the Bilge is very heavily guarded, both by Crew and by machines. Local Hadans are often recruited to help keep watch, as they are known to do anything for children. These stasised life forms have often been cloned/unstasised as the Charon has traveled for generations. But many still remain.

The plantfolk of Mercury are dedicated to teamwork and logic. They are unusual in that they must partner up with another organism, usually their pet mantis-like pets called Ennic, in order to speak, move, and do any action other than grow slowly underground or along a trellis. They are known for being very determined, alien, and smart. Although they were, at some point or another, at war with at least three of the species while in the Sol System, on Charon they are invaluable members and highly respected. While they often speak with the clicking apparatuses of their Ennic, they can also communicate telepathically with a tendril or root.

This carbon dioxide-breathing, predominantly male species are fighters and proud of it. They are humanoid, and dinosaurian, draconian, or raptor-like in appearance, and gifted with powerful teeth, claws, and a damaging tail. They can spit acid, and females can breathe fire as well. Females are rare. The Queen looks very different from the males, being quadrupedal dragons with fin-like wings. The Queens are enormous, highly intelligent, and gifted with magic. A Varton queen will typically have a harem of males. A rare few Varton queens start as a ‘lady-in-waiting’ morph similar to the males. When angered, they can vent sulfur and oxygen along their frills, causing a fiery effect. They are typically referred to as “dragons” and “dinosaurs” by the humans.

Humans are bipedal oxygen-breathing social primates from Earth who have a multitude of rich and varied cultures that clash with each other. They have very advanced technology and can deal with most diseases that would otherwise kill them. They have no power over magic anymore. The races that still live are American, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian. Most humans are a mix of these races, though there are still some that are pure and can trace their lineage to long ago. All humans are different and it is impossible to predict how one would react to things.

Lurians are, in human terms, all brilliant oxygen-breathing geniuses who live only by one rule: there are no rules except what you make for yourself. They are from Mars, and are the smallest species on Charon, with nimble hands, horns, and bony plates, as well as their trademark large fluffy ears.. Most inventors and scientists on Charon are Lurians, and this has led them to be nicknamed ‘gremlins’ by the humans. There are many of them on the ship, and next to humans are one of the most populous species.

Heraculeans are an all-male Oxygen-breathing humanoid species from Europa, one of the moons of Jupiter (They call it Herca). This band of brothers is heavily monastic and is known for being highly accepting of species. Their strength and agility is matched by their general gentleness and kindness. They are feline in appearance, with two tusks protruding from their lower jaws- leading some humans to jokingly refer to them as ‘Cat-Orcs’. Even the weakest among them tends towards muscular buffness, and a Heraculean that doesn’t love to show off his strength and muscles is a rare one indeed.

Dioti are tall, beautiful, graceful, magical and aloof. They have well deserve the human-derived nickname of ‘Space Elves’. They are an intelligent and magically adept oxygen-breathing species from Dione, one of Saturn’s moons. They are humanoid, with long, pointed ears, decorative and colorful fin-like hair, and four jewel-like eyes. They consider themselves superior, and make sure the other species on Charon know it.

A flighted race of shy creatures from the sky-islands of Uranus, Deriviapods or ‘the people’ as they term themselves, are one of the stranger species. Relatively short lived and highly magical, they are very insular and tend to not interact with the other species... except for the Nayame, with whom they have a special understanding. In general, they are considered to be aloof and annoying.

Nayame are an amphibious species from Nereid, a moon of Neptune, known for their short lifespans, silver tongues, and complete lack of parental care. They do not breathe out of necessity, rather just because, all the nutrients they need they eat. They are also known for their nearly symbiotic relationships with the Hadans and Deriviapods and are governed by the Deriviapods while the Hadans take care of their young.

Hadans are strange, huge, blobby, blue, pacifist creatures hailing from Pluto. They are known for being somewhat stupid, big, slow, and extremely motherly. They also have very long, very clear memories, and so- despite their inability to understand things- they know a great deal and can be trained to tasks. They are the care takers of the young on Charon and will do just about anything for children. They are pretty much indestructible and it has never been recorded that one has died of old age.

◆ How many pets can we own at once?

The starting maximum is four, however people who have been around for a long time, are very active
in the shop and are active roleplayers, will sometimes be allowed to have additional slots.

◆ Can different species travel to other sectors besides their main ones?

Yes. Everyone has a passport they must have on them at all times. This passport has their name, species
and ranking. Your passport will allow you to go to different places but not allow you to go to all of them.

◆ How do species go to sectors that they can't breathe in?

Depending on the species and the sector they will either have to wear a suit, or have a spell cast on
them allowing them to breathe in the different atmosphere for a certain amount of time.
