Prompt Answer: Kunti knew what a great honor it was to be chosen for this mission. She was confident in her abilities but knew enough to be wary of rogue pokemon in the Steel Woods. The guild was right in choosing her for this job. A lower ranking member might not make it out alive. As it were, her eyes made sure to catch every movement and she kept her jaw clenched tight around the cloth that held the tribute to Inamorata. She had chosen to take along a few things to help her out in case she needed it and those were stowed in the pack around her left leg. Her right paw needed to be free in case she needed to defend herself.
About halfway to the shrine, she heard the cries of another pokemon. It must be in trouble, the rogue pokemon most likely had it cornered. She knew that her job was to deliver the tribute and that she was not a rescuer. No, she was a merchant. Still, she couldn't just let an innocent pokemon get hurt. Sighing to herself, she decided that stealth would be best. A nice surprise for the rogues.
Kunti crept slowly towards the cries till she could see the poor paras that was being harassed. Laughter made her turn her head to study the two rogue pokemon, a vigoroth and zigzagoon. The vigoroth might lead to problems for her if she didn't take that one out first. Experience taught her that the zigzagoon wouldn't be too much for her to handle.
Carefully, she lay the tribute on the ground in as safe an area as she could find. Then she slowly crept around till she was directly behind the vigoroth. Both of them were too caught up in torturing the paras to even notice her. Before the paras could give her away, she swiped at the vigoroth and roared. “Leave the little guy alone!” Then she leaped around to block the paras from being attacked, her teeth bared. “I suggest you get out of here because if there is one thing scarier than you in these woods, it's me.” A bold move but that was her style.
Luckily, her swipe had hurt the vigoroth enough that it seemed to really consider her words. Then it looked to it's friend, “Let's get out of here. They aren't worth our time.” The zigzagoon readily listened. She had guessed that the big guy was the one in charge.
After they were out of site, she turned to the paras. “No need for thanks. Come with me, I have an important mission to finish and I don't want to have to rescue you again.”
The paras nodded, “Thank you for saving me. I'm Seik.” She was off before Seik could finish what he was saying, retrieving the tribute. He hurried after her and continued, “Don't worry, I'll keep up.”
Kunti looked down at him and nodded silently, leading the way to the shrine. There she lay the tribute down and bowed in respect. She didn't much care what Seik did, so long as he was respectful. Now that her job was done, she could go back to the guild and report a job well done.
