Personalized Graphics Question

Is it okay/accepted to have someone else do your personalized graphic thread graphics?

Just a curious question, I mean if you're trying to sell graphics is it better to make your own thread graphics??

I wouldn't really know, but I think it would be a better idea to make your own graphics (if you make thread layout graphics).
it lets people see what they're potentially going to get from the start... (i guess)
