Welcome to the hiring thread for the B/C shop, Maneki Neko! We are currently hiring colourists, and an artist we may have an artist. So if you're interested, do read on. <3

Rules.

1. This shouldn't even have to be here, but don't steal the artwork.
2. Hiring will end on a specific date when we have received at least 3 applications.
3. Once hiring is over, please remove the PSD lines from your computer if you were not hired.
4. You may use your coloured samples for other applications, but again, delete the PSD file.
5. No harassing, arguing, complaining, debating, begging, or discouraging should ever occur. If we find out an applicant is doing this, they will never be hired and be banned from the shop.
6. You must have a reliable way for us to reach you. This could be off-site or a guarantee you will check Gaia/email everyday, and a program that supports PSD files!
7. We may or may not purchase unhired colourist's application pets. Hired colourist's application pets will be used though!

Rules may be added or changed at anytime. We will announce these.

Positions
We are currently hiring one full-time colourist, two part-time colourists and one temporary lineartist.
If not hired as a colourist, you may be considered for a guest-colourist position.
Expectations below include your monthly requirement, and your major event requirement. We will go back to having 2 flatsales a month once hiring is done.

Colourist Requirements
- You must have a program that supports .PSD files.
- Editing isn't required, but it's a huge plus if you can ink and shade in the same style as the original artwork.
- Some manner of reaching you that you actually use. This is in case you decide to disappear from Gaia, but we -need- to have a way to contact you that you will actually respond to. If we can't reach you, you may be removed from staff if hired. This could be an IM, or email, or anything! If you have no IM or email but do check Gaia everyday, then just post saying so. Maus primarily uses Skype nowadays, and occasionally AIM.
- Participation is expected for every major event.
- Check the staff forum in the guild at least twice a week. Or have quote notifications turned on.
- Pets coloured are expected to be saved and uploaded to the shop Photobucket as a .PNG with a transparent background.
- All stages of a pet should be uploaded to the shop Photobucket before being sold.

Lineartist Requirements.
- We are only in need of -clean- sketches.
- We can only afford to commission someone that takes Gaia gold as payment. However, you just name your price and we'll see if we can do it. =]
- You must be able to replicate our shop's current art style! I'm very picky about this, as I hate it when shops have unmatching styles.
- We will be ordering 12 sketches for sure, and we're currently in discussion of an additional 4 sketches. So the total may be 16 sketches altogether. We'll have reached a decision soon.
- What the sketches are will be told if you're chosen as our artist.
- Not so much a requirement, but if you have an off-site manner we can easily reach you, that'd be great.

Full-Time Colourist Expectations.
Monthly: 2 Full-growing pets.
Major Events: Six adults, two should be a full-growing pet.
One to two freebies.
Payment: 90% of everything you do. 100% of customs and breedings.
Benefits: Custom slots, breeding slots, 3 pet trades every 3 months, 1 free pet a month for either yourself or to gift. These are only allowed if you do your workload for a specific month.

Part-Time Colourist Expectations.
Monthly: 1 Full-growing pet. You will need to discuss with the other part-time colourist to decide who gets to participate in what sale out of the 2 we have a month. Both can't participate in 1 sale.
Major Events: Three adults, one should be a full-growing pet.
One to two freebies.
Payment: 90% of everything you do. 100% of breedings.
Benefits: Breeding slots, 1 free pet every 2 months for either yourself or to gift. Only allowed if you do your workload for a specific month.

A minimum of 3 samples are required with the Maneki Neko lines. One sample must be a mock breeding between the two Maneki Neko below! You can also use the mock breeding to show off your editing skills.

Colourist Application
Desired Position: Full-time colourist; Part-time colourist.

Previous Experience: Shops you used to work for. Experience isn't required, but at least know how a B/C shop runs.
Art Program Used: Photoshop, Gimp, Sai, etc?
How Can We Reach You: Aim, Skype, email? You don't need to post them here. If you check Gaia everyday and can assure us you only disappear due to Internet outage, this is acceptable.
Maneki Neko Samples: Link to your samples. I like thumbnails, but text links work too.
Editing Samples: Could be simple or complex. Show off what you can do!
